Dinotopia: Miniseries

As some of you may know, ABC is airing a miniseries based on the famous Dinotopia books in May. I myself am not very interested in talking dinosaurs, but I plan to watch some of it. Commercials have already started airing, and I'm pretty sure they actually used Godzilla's roar for one of the carnivorous dinos... (more at:Dinotopia.com) .

UPDATE:

Well, I watched the entire miniseries, and I must say it wasn't that bad, the acting was what you'd expect for a made for TV movie, but after you get past that and the first segment it becomes more interesting with cool Pteranodon and "Skyback" scenes that look much better than the other dinosaurs (most likely because they have smaller and less noticable muscles compared to the Brachiosaurs and Tyrannosaurs) and thankfully there is only one dinosaur (named Zippo, who like Jar Jar Binks you either like or hate) that actually talks fluently, the others basically roar. I have heard rumors of a Dinotopia television series being made as well, so we may be seeing more in the near future.

(Oh, and apparently they just used the Godzilla roar for the commercial, it did not show up in the actual show).

Walking With Prehistoric Beasts on Discovery Channel

Walking With Prehistoric Beasts is the latest creation of the "Walking With Dinosaurs" team, and is based on the prehistoric animals that existed after the dinosaurs, like Gastornis, a meat-eating bird as tall as a grown man that ate miniature horses, sound weird? Well thats just one of the many strange animals that existed back then. I have yet to see this series, and will update when I do... (more at: Discovery.com) .

Valley of the T. Rex on Discovery Channel

Travel with one of the world's most renowned paleontologists, Jack Horner, as he continues his search for that infamous dinosaur,Tyrannosaurus rex. Horner's latest find takes him back to Hell Creek in the vast badlands of Montana, where Barnum Brown found the first T. rex fossil. It's a fossil hunter's mecca — a land where more Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons have been uncovered than in any other place on earth. Here in the Valley of the T. Rex lies evidence of the lost world where horned Triceratops faced off against Ornitholestes, and duckbill dinos fell prey to T. rex. Not only does Horner find more excellent specimens in this extremely remote location, but he also uncovers additional evidence that leads him to question the conventional theories of T. rex behavior. Brilliant computer animation visualizes how these creatures lived and died, and what emerges is a new and very different picture of T. rex.

When Dinosaur Roamed America

IMAGES

"When Dinosaurs Roamed America", a 2 hour show featuring dinosaurs that existed, or "roamed" America at different times during the Mesozoic Era. The show is very much like "Walking with Dinosaurs", but the special effects are not as good and there are scenes attached showing palaeontologists views on a certian subject being discussed on the show. Some of the dinosaurs featured are: Syntarsus, Dilophosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Allosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Apatasaurus, Stegosaurus...etc.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs

IMAGES and EPISODE GUIDE

THEME SONG

An awesome but sadly short lived series. Features many cool dinosaurs (great animation) and the lovable "Hermes", the main character's pet Allosaurus.

Never saw the show myself, but it is very popular among other dino fans.

DINOSAURS

UNOFFICIAL SITE

Like the Simpsons, but with Dinosaurs. Features very likable characters including Earl the dad and Baby ("ah,ah I'm dying you idiot" Sinclair). If you like humor and dinosaurs, you should like this as much as I do.

OFFICIAL SITE (Believe it or not)

Denver the Last Dinosaur

A dinosaur rockstar...what will they think of next...I'm assuming Denver is a type of Prosauropod.
