CONCEPT POSTERS

Jurassic Park IV Aimed for 2005 there is very little known about this future sequel other than: Sam Neil will have a part in it, actress Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean) may play a character (rumors suggest an older Lex),William Monahan is the screenwriter and the film will, unlike all the other movies, not take place on an island.

COMPY DANCE NUMBER

Beyond Jurassic Park Bonus Disc is only available now by buying the JP Trilogy box set, and it's worth it, the disc includes the original "Making of JP" and "TLW" shown on the JP and TLW DVD's but with some things not shown before, an interview with Micheal Crichton, a section on how the sound for JP3 was created, a "Compy Dance Number", an ILM press reel for JP3...etc.

SCRIPT

Jurassic Park was the movie that got me interested in dinosaurs, it showed them in a way we never expected to see, changing the world's image of dinosaurs showing they were not slow, dumb creatures but animals that could be just as interesting (if not more) as the creatures we have today. So for those of you who have been living under a rock, here is a summary of the movie: Millionaire John Hammond has funded scientists to genetically engineer dinosaurs from DNA extracted from mosquitos fossilized in amber (tree sap). Hammond then builds a park to show off his dinosaurs, but needs approval from paleontologist Alan Grant and some other scientists. Soon after the scientists arrive to the island, the dinosaurs escape and cause chaos, trying to eat John Hammond's tourists, and they all must escape before they become lunch.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park is very similar to Jurassic Park, but there is a lot more dinosaur action, which is good, but the story is very simple: 4 years after the JP incident John Hammond has reveiled he owns a 2nd island where the dinosaurs were originally bred before being taken to the JP island and has mentioned that the dinosaurs have survived on their own. Now after the JP incident, Ingen, the company John was head of, gave John's nephew the job of taking over Ingen and has decided to go to the second island, capture the dinosaurs, and bring them to the mainland for a San Deigo theme park. John Hammond doesn't want his creations to be further exploited so he gets Ian Malcolm and company to go to the island to stop John's nephew and from there on it's action...with an ending you would not believe.

Jurassic Park 3 has even more dinosaurs than both JP and TLW combined and a lot of action, Despite the movie being 30 minutes shorter than the others and having less plot than TLW, it's still a fun ride: After a parasailing accident, a family's son becomes stranded on Isla Sorna, the island featured in TLW, now the family needs to rescue their son with the help of Alan Grant and some other dinosaur food.

Allosaurus was first aired on the discovery channel, but quaifies as a movie because it's now on DVD. It's a very interesting documentry on the life of big Al,based on the real Big Al fossilized skeleton, featuring some really cool dinosaur effects from the people who brought us Walking With Dinosaurs.

Walking With Dinosaurs is a 3 hour (if you count the "Making of.." part, it's 4 hours) documentry based on the entire Mesozoic Era, Starting from the Triassic period, through to the extinction of the dinosaurs. This also aired on the Discovery channel, but is on DVD and has a whole whack of Dinosaur fun.
