This is the first compilation of services in South Australia which may assist older people with depression. Some services are specific to the treatment of depression, others may assist to alleviate conditions which may predispose to depression such as grief and social isolation.

With depression such a life-pervasive condition, it was a difficult decision to know where to draw a line.

Those listed are in alphabetical under the categories of statewide, metropolitan or country information. In reality, this directory is a living document that will continue to change and, hopefully, grow in response to increasing support options for people with depression. It has a primary role in assisting health professionals to refer older people with depression.
