Genealogy
Genealogic researches are a very exciting hobby. It is great to learn about ancestors and relatives, to collect names and facts and to get contact to far relatives.  I had realy good luck, because in my fathers as well as in my mothers family several relatives already had researched the families. My father had researched his family in the forties, his uncle Friedel Hammerschlag had researched the Hammerschlag family. At my mothers family her greatgrandfather had published a family history and her brother had been a very busy researcher to. So I had the chance to start at a high level.
Unfortunately I was not able, to upload a modern Genealogy site. So you just may use the good old lists of ancestors and descendants. All lists are in German language. Sorry, I dont have the time, to translate them.
Explanations: * = born, + = died, oo = married, begr. = burried
Pay attention, that dates are written dd.mm.yyyy!
Inhaltsverzeichnis
1. Alphabetical ancestors list Beyer
2. Cronological ancestors list Beyer
Both lists content the same datas. Nr. 1 is sorted by the family names, so that you will find all persons with the same family name one after the other. The second list is sorted by Kekule numbers. So it starts with the first generation, than the second and so on. If the Kekule number is underlined, you may find some more information about this ancestor in the "notes" file (Nr. 3.) - unfortunately only in German language. Both lists do not content the ancestors of
Katharine Wittgenstein (17329) and Mechtild Marie Sybille von Berninghausen (133). The file would become to big otherwise. You may find these ancestors at the separate lists Nr. 5 and 6.
3. Notes
This list contents - in German language - a lot of more information about many ancestors of the alphabetical and chronological list.
4. List of locations
Listed are all locations, where one of the ancestors of the alphabetical and chronological list was born, maried oder died. Locations in alphabetical order.
5. Ancestors von Berninghausen
The ancestors list of Mechtild Marie Sybille von Berninghausen contents big parts of the Westphalian nobility and nearly the whole European royality of the early midle age.
6. Ancestors Wittgenstein
Katharine Wittgenstein was a illegitimate daughter of count Johann of Sayn-Wittgenstein. There are no doubts about this origin, because the count mentioned her and her husband in his last will. Ancestors of Katharine Wittgenstein are big parts of the German high nobility and European royalty of the middle age.
7 - 10 Descendant lists
Since some living relatives felt unhappy, when I puplished there names and additional information at these sites, I deleted most given names, month and day of the births, profession and so on. I understand their sorrows, but regret, that it is now more difficult, to find relatives. If you read the lists and think, you might be related, do not hesitate to mail me with your questions. Please send me information about you or the person, which might be related. I will try to check it. If I see a relationship, I may send a complete list. I appreciate any help, to complete these lists!
7. Descendants of Heinrich Albert Beyerr
My greatgreatgrandfather was mining official (Markscheider) in Diez. Since his twin brother was a painter, we have several paintings of Heinrich Albert and one painting of his wife. You may see them at the "Painter Beyer" site. Unfortunately I have nearly complete informations only about the descendants of his son Carl Beyer, my greatgrandfather. Heinrich Albert Beyer had nine children, three ore four of the sons emmigrated to USA. Thanks to the help of my uncle Robert (Bob) Schott in Denver, I was able to get a lot of information about descendants of two of these sons, but still have a lot of gaps there. One son returned after the death of his wife to Germany, he had no children. One son is lost, propably in the USA. The main problem are the descendants of the daughters. 8. Descendants of Peter Schneider, merchant in Nordhofen
The list contensts - as far as I know them - all descendants of the oldest known ancestor of my grandmother. There are a lot of gaps, and any help to close them, is wellcome.
9. Descendants of Carl Moser von Filseck and Hilda Clason
Carl Moser von Filseck was my greatgrandfather. Most people do not know, that the German state Wuerttemberg had an embassy in other Germans states untill 1933. My greatgrandfather was the last embassador ("Gesandter") of Wuerttemberg in Bavaria. Her worked there from 1906 untill 01.03.1933 His reports of the years 1919-1933 were published in 1971 by Wolfgang Benz (Politik in Bayern 1919 - 1933, Berichte des wuerttembergischen Gesandten Moser v. Filseck, Stuttgart 1971 in: Schriftenreihe der Vierteljahrshefte fr Zeitgeschichte). - The descendant list is quite complete, at least untill 2000.
10. Descendants of Martin Hammerschlag from Fritzlar, Hesse
I have just continued  this list, which is the result of the researches of my granduncle Friedel Hammerschlag, who was merchant in Limburg / Lahn. A connection with the Jewish Hammerschlag family, which lived and still exist in the region around Fritzlar, is possible, but not known. Another Roman Catholic Hammerschlag family appears with Arnold Hammerschlag in the Rhine regione nearly at the same time, when Martin Hammerschlag lived. A possible connection with this family was not found until today.  All Hammerschlag relatives of my branch are Christians, mostly Roman Catholics. As far as I know, changed only the Limburg branch of my greatgreatgrandfather Johann Peter Hammerschlag to Protestantism. - I am interested in any information about descendants and of course about ancestors of Martin Hammerschlag and connections to the Rhinish and the Jewish Hammerschlag family.
