The Chevrolet C60L GS Truck was better known as the "three-tonner". This next
section describes the photo below.

The canvas screens under the radiator of this truck are part of the effort to
waterproof the engine so that the truck could wade through water over its axles.
A white five-pointed star was a common recognition sign for all Allied vehicles.
The conspicuous mark on the roof was evidence that drivers now had more to fear
from friendly planes than from the Luftwaffe.
