Sadness

Brad's dog had to be put to sleep Monday. He had parvo. I loved that dog to death. Brad never got his shots and stuck him outside most of the time and by the time we took him to the vet, he was too far gone. Brad was really upset. I didn't go to the hospital with him. So I've had a bad couple of days.
Now Bonnie has been exposed to it and I'm worried she's going to get sick as well. I took her to the vet yesterday morning and they said she looked fine but to keep an eye on her.
On top of everything else, I'm losing my voice and I have to go bail Brad out of jail tomorrow because the cop finally called him to say he'd filed the warrant.
Apparently, my parent's next door neighbor (who works with my brother and is good friends with), Randy, has been asking about me. And dayum, is he fine as hell.
But (and there always is one!) he's married, but separated, and he drinks all the time. *sigh* So I had to take a pass. Don't really need another one of those in my life.
Summer bites

It is hot as balls outside and Hello Inc. has decided this is the week that they're going to replace the HVAC system. We have no A/C and it was over 90 degrees today. So it's just now starting to cool down in here.
Went to see
Troy Friday afternoon with my friend Joey. It was
soo not the movie I expected though Brad Pitt was pretty hot in it.
When I found Brad's crack pipe Thursday morning, I decided now was the time to go over to my parents and finally say something about my brother's drug use. Because I'm worried. He's acting the way Brad was acting when he was using crack every day. I've never seen Evan take drugs but I know what Brad tells me. Explain to me how you spend 400 dollars in one night. That's insane and indicative of a problem. I told my mom and dad and stressed to them that I have never seen him do anything and that Brad does have a tendency to lie and exaggerate things. Of course, my brother told my parents some bullshit which they fell for it so I'm done with it. I've said my piece so when Evan bottoms out somewhere and ends up overdosing, I'm not going to feel like shit because I never said anything. I've also told him that he's not welcome in my house anymore. I don't know what he's doing and how much he's doing it and I don't want him breaking into my house down the road and taking shit from me.

*sigh* I gave Brad 20 bucks to go get dogfood this morning. He left shortly before I went to bed. I got up around 9pm, he came in shortly after that -- his pupils as wide as silver dollars. He didn't get the dogfood and he didn't have my money either. Of course, I went off. I knew what he did with it. It went right up his nose. He's been saving his money for another gun and as of this morning he had 500 dollars saved. He started looking around for his savings, claiming he couldn't find the money, which I knew was bullshit, too. I had to leave but I stopped at 7-11 to get some dog food (they haven't eaten all day) and went back home to drop it off and he was gone. On the coffee table was 200 dollars. That means he took out 300 and went on a coke binge with my brother. I called my dad and let them know what they were doing. Apparently, my brother had told my dad that he was coming over to watch a movie so my dad knows what he's doing now.
My brother has been getting into hardcore drugs recently and I had to tell him that he wasn't welcome in my home anymore.
I've tried calling Brad all night, left a couple nasty voice mails -- then I started calling him back to back. He hung up on me once, then got smart and turned on his voice mail after one ring.
What worries me now is the fact that I have a bank envelope sitting in the coffee table with my paycheck money in it.
Time off

Ugh! So this past month has been a nightmare as far as the new car goes. Brad has been playing phone tag with Progressive regarding that accident he had. The girl who was driving the car didn't own the car so it's taking forever to determine who is going to pay for the repairs to ours. The bumper still looks like shit.
Then there was last weekend when Brad decided to act like a child after an argument and beat the windshield to the car as I was pulling out to go to work -- cracked the glass real bad. I told him he was going to be the one respponsible for repairing it and I wanted it done by this week. Our insurance company agreed to replace the glass for us and we didn't have to pay a deductible. The next he gets a call from the glass company who repaired it saying that he owes them 319$ since now our insurance company was saying the weren't going to cover it. *sigh* Apparently, this particular coverage wasn't available to their customers in Virginia. At any rate, we've got that all squared away and the insurance company is going to waive it for us since they originally told us it would be covered.
I forgot to renew my registration and Brad got a ticket for driving with expired registration.
So I'm really looking forward to the next four days off. One of my co-workers took a three week vacation which means I've been here for the past three nights by myself.
