The PTA
brings parents into contact with the school, other parents, and the
teachers of their children. This organization provides services and
resources to Franklin School. Through its meetings, PTA acquaints parents
with the school's programs. Through its program of service, every parent
may contribute to the education and welfare of students attending Franklin
Elementary School.
The Franklin
PTA continues to be a vital asset to our school. Activities are
planned throughout the year with the student in mind. PTA fund raisers
provide the students with busses for field trips, assisting monetarily
in educational purchases for the school, and purchasing and distributing
school supplies for all students at the start of the second semester.
Recently, many fund raisers were held by the PTA (car washes, bake sales,
spaghetti dinner, and candy sales) to raise the necessary matching funds
from the civil city and the school city to purchase playground equipment
for the school.
The PTA
is a very supportive organization which assists, and is appreciated
by, the entire Franklin community. This organized, volunteer group assists
the Franklin staff in achieving our mission statement, whereby all parties
help to "...provide a supportive, success-orientated learning environment...."
for all Franklin students.
