| PoA Movie For the few who haven't seen the latest in the HP movie series I won't go into spoilers just yet BUT it was amazing. By far the best of the three, Cuaron has put a wonderful slant on the HP series and for the first time making it darker than the glossy golden world that Chris Columbus created. And it's good timing as book 3 is the first book in the series to grow up and deal with harder issues. Great performances all round (though not as much of Ron as many fans would like!) especially Sirius Black and Prof. Lupin and, though there were several bits I would've like to have seen, overall I applaud Cuaron for his severe cutting of anything that wasn't crucial to the plot. The result? A darker, grittier and more realistic Harry Potter movie but still wildly enjoyable. |
| My favourite characters: Filch - evil, mean, great! Hermione - nice to see a girl with guts for a change! Fawkes - so sweet and he kicks serious basilisk butt! Sirius Black - If only one of my family was as cool! |
