Here is my "Theological Notebook." Like the entire Developing Theology website, it seeks to provide occasion for reflection and constructive comment on a variety of areas in theology. This notebook simply provides a slightly less structured environment where we can reflect and write on a variety of topics and issues of the day.
The whole Developing Theology endeavor is meant to be a "thought project." This does not mean that I do not believe what I write to be true, nor that I do not strive to be true to the Bible or to the great church tradition of orthodoxy. Instead, I mean to assert by calling this work a "thought project" that people much greater and wiser than I have set about to set out a dogmatic outline of Christian faith, with careful adherance to carefully crafted gospel orthodoxy. Many good volumes can be found which enumerate the essentials of the faith. I believe that I have something to add in my little endeavor, but I do not wish to pass on my own assertions as being the "gospel" truth, even though I endeavor to operate within just such a truth. I hope you will give these formulations and thoughts your careful (and critical) consideration, and hope you find in them useful reflections and clear perceptive statements of the Christian faith. |

Homosexuality is a major, divisive issue in the church today, and one which impacts Christians on a very personal level. How the Christian church is to respond to this issue is an important and ongoing discussion.
