Cheil
Industries Inc. was founded in 1954 as
the parent company of the Samsung Group and is divided
into three businesses; fabric, clothing, and chemical.
Cheil's involvement in the chemicals division since 1989
speaks of its diversity. As a company with a firm
foothold in highly valuable markets, Cheil produces
various electronic product and high quality engineering
plastic. It has grown into a leading manufacturer of
fashion and high-tech chemical materials.
Staron
was born in 1993 by Cheil's R&D center as an
advanced solid surface composed of 100% acrylic
resin(methyl methacrylate) and aluminum trihydrate with
Continuous casting process. Staron is solid and uniform
throughout, not laminated, so that it is non-porous,
hygienic and seamless in appearance.
Staron is manufactured as per our through quality
control system cerftified by ISO
9002 and our efforts to environment is
supported by ISO
14001 at Cheil's Yeosu Plant in Korea.
Staron passed the NSF51 for food zone that is widely
used for its scientific and technical expertise in the
health and environmental sciences. Staron does the best
efforts to contribute to the solid surface industry as a
member of NKBA
(National Kitchen & Bath Association), ISSFA
(International Solid Surface Fabricators Association), WIC
(Woodwork Institute of California).
