What’s
the differences between CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)
& GSM (Global System for
Mobile
Communication) ?
The only differences are the way by which voice gets
carried from one phone to the other. CDMA assembles multiple
voices into the same frequency, & also increases voice
clarity. The technology also helps you receive calls when the
signal is weak & thus it doesn't have the problems like
Call Failed or Fading during high traffic density.
This also gives CDMA service providers the flexibility
to provide data & video service.
CDMA was invented during World War 2 when Allied forces
wanted to get past the Germans by sending coded messages over
different frequencies & giving them the ability to be
accessed from different points-hence
"Code Division Multiple Access."
Presently CDMA mobiles are available with Reliance,
TATA Indicom, Hyundia Infocom

Bubble Boy :
_________________________________________________________________
You may have heard about many email borne viruses like Happy99.exe, Explorer.exe and others which were considered to be quite deadly. But all of them had a tiny but considerably big shortcoming. In all earlier cases what happened was that even if you get an infected email with a virus attached, your computer is not infected unless and until you execute or run the Virus i.e the attached file. So the best way to protect yourself from these email borne viruses was not to open attachments sent you by people you don't know. Both Happy99 and Explorer.exe were viruses which were good but did not easily infect systems. In comes BubbleBoy the first email borne virus which infects yor system even if you just read the infected email sent to you and doestnt require you to open any attahment to wreck havoc.
Bubble Boy: The Working
Bubble Boy is a self propagating Virus which infects your system even if you just read the infected email and it is such a revelation over the earlier viruses that it in order to infect a system does not need the user to open any attachment or run any .exe. So how do I know if someone has sent me bubbleboy?
Now basically BubbleBoy appears as an email with the subject line:" Bubbleboy is Back!" and includes pictures and sounds from the Seinfeld (a US TV serial)episode from where also comes the name "BubbleBoy." This Virus is specially dangerous for users who use Oulook Express as there mail client with the preview Pane enabled. So Outlook Users do not even have to Double Click on the Email to open it, they just have to select it and boom!!!.The same aplies for Mozilla Users with preview pane selected. Once infecting the system, it sends itself to all email addresses in the Address book of the email Client. It does not delete files from your Hard Disk neither does it send Passwords or User Information.
You may be saying "That's it? That was so lame.". Well I know this Virus is not deadly but I am sure we can expect a large number of deadlier Variants to pop up in no time. The Email Borne Viruses have entered a new era, where the user is no longer required to execute any Viruses but his system is infected wheather he likes it or not.
So How Do I protect myself from BubbleBoy and it's future Variants?
Well Microsoft has posted a Software patch which will thwart the mechanism of Outlook and prevent infection. You can download the Patch from
