It is the next-generation of the company’s original Circle Surround technology, incorporating powerful industry-first features including our proprietary dialog clarity enhancement technology and added cinema-like bass to the front channels and subwoofer. Dialog Clarity: CS II is the only matrix surround sound technology that includes a new Dialog Clarity feature for movies and television programming. Acting as a "lens" for audio, this feature makes dialog in content such as DVD movies and digital satellite and cable programming pop out of the surround audio effects, allowing the listener to easily discern what the actors say. Cinema-like Bass: CS II is the only matrix surround sound technology that includes a new patented bass enrichment feature, for the L, R and LFE channels, producing an incredible heart-pounding cinema-like listening experience. Based on SRS Labs' patented TruBass technology, the listener perceives the bass produced by the speakers to be an octave below the actual physical capabilities of the speakers adding exciting, deeper bass effects to any program or game. Original multichannel content or "programming" can also be encoded into two channels (the same space required for stereo), then stored, broadcast or streamed as two channels over stereo infrastructures such as radio and internet broadcasting, satellite transmission or cable and television broadcasting. Once delivered to the end listener, the CS II decoder can then convert the two channels of CS-encoded content back into 6.1 channels with Dialog Clarity and TruBass enrichment for playback over 6.1 multimedia or home theater speaker systems. Additionally, CS II is an extremely versatile surround decoder able to deliver up to 6.1 channels of full-bandwidth audio with incredible rear surround separation from mono, stereo, Dolby Surround and Circle Surround-encoded material. This backward compatibility allows consumers to take full advantage of their home entertainment systems when playing CDs, watching a video, or watching digital and satellite broadcast or television. Circle Surround-encoded material can be fully experienced using a CS II, CS, Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Pro Logic II decoder and a multimedia speaker system. TruBass - TruSurround XT uses SRS hear amidst TruBass technology to create incredible deep rich bass from all speaker types, including headphones. This patented technique, based on psychoacoustic theories of the human hearing system, allows a person to perceive significantly deeper, richer low bass tones that are far beyond the physical low frequency capabilities of the speaker itself. Incredible Stereo with WOW - TruSurround XT goes a step beyond the standard TruSurround technology by processing standard two-channel stereo material as well as multichannel encoded material. While digital audio provides unparalleled quality, multiple speakers must be used in order to “surround” the listener and take full advantage of the 5.1 separately encoded audio channels. With TruSurround, the six discrete channels of digital audio are processed into just two channels and delivered over two speakers giving the listener a completely immersive experience and the sensory perception that they are surrounded by additional “phantom” speakers.
