Japan: 1996-2001

A year out in Fukuchiyama was all I could take. There was just no way I could stay there. The hustle and bustle of the big cities was callin' my name!

In October 1999 I moved to Ibaraki City (suburban
Osaka) and six months later settled in my final home in Japan, comfortable Nishinomiya City, between Osaka and Kobe.
Despite the ruder people, fouler air, and dirtier water, it was nice to be back in the middle of everything and with so many activities on hand: theme parks, clubbing, eating out, performing on stage, and even the chance to do some modeling. Living in a metropolis also provided the chance to meet folks from all over. Somehow, I ended up with lots of Japanese, Australian, and European friends, but don't know many Americans. I wonder how that happened.

Anyway, there's more in store for this kid.
See you next in London.
