- ABC Reading - Interactive activities which allows students to explore sound patterns, discover word meanings, and look for spelling patterns. This site might require you to download the Shockwave plug-in.
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Pictures and descriptions of characters and storyline for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Students can compare these descriptions (from movie) to book.
- How to Write a Book Review - At this site, students may read about how to write a book review.
- Pocahontas - The "real" story of Pocahontas is discussed as compared to the Disney version (great for students). Pictures are included. Excellent for critical analysis.
- Reading Rainbow Kids Page - Books are discussed and there are games to go along with them.
- Reading Room - Book reviews and games.
- Real Kids Real Adventures - Kids can read about other students real life adventures, see pictures, and become club members.
- Poetry 4 Kids - A fun site featuring the poetry of Kenn Nesbitt, as well as links to the works of other children’s poets.
- Giggle Poetry - This is a great place to find funny poems about school and other things kids know all about. You’ll also find advice about how to write various types of poems, such as haiku and limericks.
