• Ask a Geologist - Questions can be e-mailed to US Geological Survey scientists. Topics may include volcanoes, earthquakes, mountains, rocks, etc. You must have a set up to an e-mail address in order for this site to function.
• Smithsonian Gem and Mineral Collection - This site includes images and information on types of rocks, crystals, and minerals.
• Understanding Earthquakes - This is a great site for finding information about earthquakes.  Features include a quiz and a rotating globe which show the locations of recent earthquakes.
• Volcanoes Around the Word - Students gets clues to identify volcanoes around the world.  Great fun and helps with geography too.
