Logan Robert, Page 6!!
October 1, 2007 - Had my first NST today. (Non Stress Test). They test the baby's heartbeat and make sure when he moves that his heartbeat responds accordingly. They strap two monitors on your belly, one for the  heartbeat and one to pick up any contractions. Then I had to push a button anytime I felt him move, so they could look at the correlation between his movements and changes in heartbeat. At first Logan was a little show off, moving constantly. Then we lost his heartbeat. I freaked a bit, but I still felt him move, so I figured the sensor wasn't picking it up. I was right. Since his back is facing out, I had to push the monitor into my belly to pick up his heartbeat. He didn't like it one bit and kept moving around and I had to keep moving the monitor to pick it up again! What a stinker! Anyways, they finally got all the data they needed and the doctor was very  happy with the results. I still have to go in twice a week for continued monitoring. I hope baby boy gets used to the pressure!! Anyways, here is a belly shot from today - 34 weeks! I have an ultrasound scheduled for tommorrow, so I should have new pictures of Logan then - if he cooperates that is!
October 2, 2007 - Had another ultrasound today. True to form, Logan was again uncooperative. He does not like people looking at his face. He kept putting his hands up and when the tech saw that his hands were down by his belly, she went back up to his face, and what did he do? Yep, put his hands back in front of his face. At one point he had both his thumbs in his mouth. Eventually we were able to get a picture of his face - although it is blurry because he can't seem to stay still. He has chubby cheeks. Kind of like his daddy - you can compare the two below!! It is estimated that he now weighs 4 lbs, 11 oz.. Pictures of his little hand (fingers only, thumb is hiding) and foot are also below!
October 4, 2007 - Another NST today. Logan did good. I only lost his heartbeat once from him moving away from the sensor! Everyone at work seems to think he "dropped" over lunch. I'm not sure, although his movements do seem lower than normal!
October 7, 2007 - I've been busy putting together all of Logan's things and getting ready for the little guy. I guess this is what they call "nesting"? I put together his highchair, pack n play, swing, portable highchair and washed some more of his clothes and blankets! Pictures of all his stuff are on the next page. I also finally updated the nursery pictures - make sure to check them out!  I still feel like I have a ton to do though....and we're running out of room for all his stuff. Guess I better get reorganizing!
