One of my favorite things to make and has always been well recieved costs almost
nothing to make. It's a prayer rock. Just find a rock and wrap it in a square of pretty fabric
and tie it with ribbon or yarn. Then you can make a card to tie onto the ribbon with this
poem:
I'm your little prayer rock and this is what I'll do
Just put me on your pillow till the day is through.
Then turn back the covers and climb into your bed
and WHACK your little prayer rock will hit you in the head.
Then you will remember as the day is through
To kneel and say your prayers as you wanted to.
Then when you are finished, just dump me on the floor
I'll stay there through nighttime to give you help once more.
When you get up next morning CLUNK I'll stub your toe
So you will remember your morning prayers before you go.
Put me back upon your pillow when your bed is made
and your clever little prayer rock will continue in your aid.
Because your heavenly Father cares and loves you so
He wants you to remember to talk to Him you know.

For a child: make some cards with envelopes for various occassion but do not color the images. Include crayons or markers so the child can color them themselves.

I am making 15 calendar with a scene for each month it is quite a project but every Tue morning I go to my friend Patty's and we stamp for our calendars. She prints off the calandar pages on her computer and she has ordered a machine that will put the pages together. there are 3 of us working on calenders. they are turning out really cute, The local store here sells the calendars already put together and stamped for $3.50 which the girls have done in the past years . This is the first year for me to do this but I am enjoying it. and proud of what I have some so far.

I have fabric stamped a couple of T-shirts for granddaughters and may do some more for Christmas

A stamped flower pot works great too for the stamper on your list to use it to hold
pens, scissors, etc.

The stamped flower pots can also be used to hold candles.

You can make some really cute ornaments using paper-clay or fimo. Stamp an image using a permanent black ink into the clay.
Cut around your image or use a cookie cutter for a round ornament. Let the paper clay dry (or bake the fimo) and either color
with your
markers or with paint. Spray 2-3 light coats of sealer. I like the paper clay because it is
less expensive and will dry really hard. They will last forever. My daughter and I made
some of these five years ago, and they really cute. We used angel, Santa and other
Christmas figures as our images.
