Our Class Mascots

Meet Katie and Kelsie. They will be our class mascots for this school year.

Kelsie is a black chow mix. She will be seven years old in November. She enjoys a good belly rub, being brushed, and chasing anything that dares to run from her. But she does NOT like a bath. Each time she hears the word bath she runs and hides! She also hates a thunderstorm. She knows they are coming before the weatherman does. That is why I gave her the nickname, Radar. She has a ferocious bark, but she really is just a sweetheart. She is fiercely loyal to her family and her little sister, Katie. She does not like strangers to be close to her family. She must approve of everyone that comes to the door. In fact, I don't even need a doorbell at my house. She is my personal doorbell. She sometimes finds trouble and has to visit the vet's office to get checked out. Of course, this makes my life very interesting. I will have to tell you about some of her adventures!

Katie is a blonde mixed dog. She loves to run and run. She will be four years old this November, but she still thinks she is a puppy. I can't keep her still. She loves everyone she meets and expects everyone to love her. Her favorite adventures include exploring the woods, digging holes, and chasing after squirrels and rabbits. She sometimes gets Kelsie into trouble, but so far, everything has been ok.  She loves to eat french fries and Scooby Snacks! I always laugh when I hear her bark. She has a squeaky bark. So most of the time she lets Kelsie do all the barking.
