As a child I was fond of books. I would read for hours recklessly until I finish the book. I really regret, but now a days I hardly read any books. I had strong fascination for antics and especially the old coins. I still have the collection of mine.
I love watching TV. I like hollywood movies. Star Plus and HBO are my favourite channels. What other things that I would watch are News and the National Geographic and Discovery channels. Listening to old melodious hindi songs makes me feel relaxed.
What !! I didn't talk about programming. It was my lifetime dream. I love those complexities, the code, the deadlines, the meetings, project schedules, being a part of the team. It's fun.
I am always interested in going for shopping, wearing nice clothes and going for parties and going for picnics.
But trekking would always be on top in my list.I will give 100% credits to my cousin Sonali, for addicting me to this fine sport.
This is my hobby as well as passion. The beauty of the nature has always eluded me, I had always found some kind of longing for the nature. The colors of the sunshine, roaring seas, greenery, waterfalls, tall mountain peaks all make your life worth living. You find yourself totally energized, inspired and relaxed. The daily humdrum of life creates whole lot of complications. But the life seems so simple and joyous once you are close to this divine beauty.
Some people are afraid of trekking thinking that it is too dangerous. Why risk this precious life ?.We can watch all the natural beauty sitting at home on National Geographic. True very true. But then you can just watch it ,can't experience it, can't feel it. Trekking is not always a risk sport. If you are confusing it with the expeditions that are carried out in Himalayas, or rock climbing feats in Saihyadri's then yes these are dangerous and only experienced and trained people go for it. But then you trek could just be a long walk by the river side, climbing an easy mountain peak, a beach trek, a cycle trek. And believe me this is very simple, feasible for you and me.
It allows you to not only to get closer to the nature but to know people, visit places..
Remember the famous saying. A wandering bee gathers honey. There are many amateur groups who arrange treks in Himalayas as well as Saihyadri's .
Please send me details of any groups you know , which I might have missed.
