| Little is actually known about the Gold Mine on Dalton Mountain. Dalton's mining heydays were shortlived, and it was unlikely that the mines made any more profit than the crops or livestock that were raised on the same farms. Small amounts of silver, copper, and perhaps gold were mined from the late 1870's to the early 1900's, but little documentation has been found. |
