Raw was welcomed with a tape of Vince McMahon informing the crowd that tonight was Fan Appreciation Night, and that we would see a steel cage match, and we also found out that one member of the nWo would be in action.

Stone Cold and Booker T started off Raw from Austin, Texas.  Stone Cold normally could beat Booker fairly easily, but had one eye watching out for the nWo.  All 3 nWo members came down, and Scott Hall, Stone Cold's opponent at Wrestlemania, bashed Austin in the head with a wrench.  Then, Hollywood Hogan, Hall, and Kevin Nash each hit Austin repeatedly, until Hall decided to hit Austin with a Stunner.
Scotty Too Hotty and Albert faced off against Test and Mr. Perfect.  Test gave pretty obvious clues as to his "perfect partner" was, but decided that the crowd was too stupid to realize it.  In the match, Scotty hit the WORM on Test, but Mr. Perfect hit the Perfectplex to end the match.  Rikishi ran down and saved Albert and Scotty from a beating by taking out Perfect.

Kurt Angle warned HHH that he was a man with nothing to lose.  Angle also added that HHH doesn't deserve the title shot at Wrestlemania.
Goldust said that he wouldn't be stupid and forget the 24-7 rule like Maven, but he also said that no one would challenge him.  Tazz decided to shatter that dream and started suplexing Goldust all over the ring.  Goldust battled back, but got a gigantic suplex.  Goldust recovered and bashed Tazz with a garbage can lid to end the match.
The nWo drank up Stone Cold Steve Austin's beer, but Kevin Nash decided that they should go for a walk.  On their way through the arena, they beat up someone in a Stone Cold T-shirt and poured scalding coffee on the guy who checks it..
RVD's interview with the Coach was interrupted by Lance Storm who challenged RVD to a rematch on Raw, after RVD won their match on Sunday Night Heat, by literally slapping him in the face, which RVD had no problem with.
DDP continued to try to make Christian happy, and it looked like they were making progress, but they had to go back to Stage 1 when Christian said to pull the plug on Grandma Edna.  DDP made an exasperated face and sighed at his seemingly ever angry protege.
Jazz started destroying Trish and locked in an STF.  Trish got out of it and locked Jazz in an STF and wouldn't let it go, so Trish got DQ'd.
Stephanie McMahon's cell phone conversation with
Chris Jericho, who was in Grenwich, Connecticut looking for Stephanie's lotion, interrupted by HHH, who had brought Stephanie some of her things.  Her anger evaporated when she saw her lotion.  HHH couldn't quite hold down a chuckle when she started putting it on.

The Undertaker said that Ric Flair wouldn't be in Texas because of a family emergency.  The Dead Man then showed a tape of Ric's oldest son being mercilessly beaten up by 'Taker.  David Flair was assaulted while honing his skills in the Ohio Valley Wrestling League, and 'Taker hit him so hard that David began to bleed.  He also hinted that Ric Flair's younger son and daughter might be the next targets.
RVD and Lance Storm prepared to do battle in the ring.  RVD's aerial skills were severely hampered by the technical Lance Storm's strategy of taking RVD's knees out.  Several times, RVD couldn't leap to the ropes as he normally can, but he still hit a Five Star Frog Splash to end the match.
Scott Hall won the Rock-Paper-Scissors contest to represent the nWo tonight.  Hall drew a name and looked pretty nervous, but little Spike Dudley came out as his opponent.  Spike had almost no chance, taking a huge fallaway slam that rivals Bradshaw's before Hall finished him with the Razor's Edge.
Mark Henry, World's Strongest Man, made his return to the WWF in his hometown of Austin.
Kurt Angle could barely look at and tried to avoid Stephanie like the plague, but the Billion Dollar Princess just had hives from the "lotion" HHH brought her.  Stephanie was furious at HHH and told Kurt to destroy him.  Before he left, Kurt said it was hardly noticeable.
HHH and Kurt faced off next in a brutal steel cage match.  Momentum went back and forth with HHH trying to avoid Angle's devastating suplexes.  Both men almost escaped, but neither got out.  Kurt almost got out through the door, but HHH attacked him and hit a neckbreaker.  HHH hit a Spinebuster, but Angle recovered.  HHH then hit a Pedigree and was going to go out the door when Stephanie McMahon came down and slammed it on his head.  Kurt took advantage and started raking HHH's face against the steel cage, but HHH recovered and prevented Kurt from escaping.  Kurt tried again, but got stopped, and Steph threw him a chair.  Angle got DDT'd onto the chair, and HHH started to climb out but was stopped with several savage chair shots from his soon to be ex-wife, Stephanie.  HHH fell on the ropes and got his foot caught in it, and Stephanie helped Kurt escape to end the match.  HHH remained trapped and helpless while Stephanie and Kurt gloated over Angle's victory over the Game in a Steel Cage on Fan Appreciation Night.

Smackdown started with Ric Flair demanding that the Undertaker come out of his locker room so Flair could beat the crap out of him for 'Taker's viscious assault of David Flair on Monday.  'Taker refused to come out, so Flair came to the ring.  Flair said that his dream had occurred when he returned to the WWF as an owner, not a wrestler.  He put his boots back on to beat Vince McMahon at the Royal Rumble, but refused to face 'Taker at Wrestlemania.  Flair was furious about 'Taker attacking Arn Anderson (Flair's best friend) and even more by attacking Flair's son David.  Flair started hitting himself since the Undertaker seemed to like blood, and accepted the Undertaker's challenge for a match at Wrestlemania.  The Undertaker came out, but said he had been thinking and had decided that he wasn't sure if he wanted to face Flair at Wrestlemania, but he would give him an answer tonight.
HHH and Stephanie greeted each other with very little courtesy and started arguing about who would get their dog "Lucy" since they are splitting things 50-50.  HHH said that he would have Stephanie's 16th birthday present car brought by later on that night.
Wiliam Regal joined the booth for commentary on RVD's hardcore title match against Goldust.  Goldust brought in gold trash cans and lids, but RVD's fearsome kicks began wearing down the Bizzare One.  RVD hit a baseball slide on a chair on Goldust's face, but Goldust rolled him up after Regal hit RVD with the brass knuckles.
Stephanie was happy to see that the Undisputed Champion had arrived with her water.  Jericho was whining that he shouldn't have to do errands, but Stephanie gave him HHH's first ever robe, which was given to him by "Killer" Kowalski.
Tajiri faced off against Booker T as the Bookerman wanted revenge because Tajiri didn't like Booker's acting for a Japanese shampoo commercial and the company chose Edge to be their spokesperson.  Booker avoided Tajiri's kick and hit the Scissors Kick to end the match.  Edge attacked Booker while he was trying to do the Spinarooni, and Edge mocked the Bookerman.

The Rock returned to Smackdown! with a huge explosion from the crowd.  The Rock still wasn't at 100%, but admitted that he had made a mistake: When he had heard that the nWo was coming back, he was only thinking about Hogan-Rock at Wrestlemania.  The Rock said that his mistake was thinking of Hulk Hogan as he was, and not how he now is: a jaded SOB.  He also said that Hogan had made a mistake by not finishing the Rock off when he could, but the Rock would give him a chance tonight.  The nWo came out, and Hogan said that he was hurt by the Rock's comments, but wouldn't attack him and give the Rock an excuse for Wrestlemania, where Hogan would defeat him..  The nWo had a pow-wow, and Scott Hall challenged the Rock to a match for Smackdown, which the Rock accepted.
The Undertaker wasn't at a disadvantage in a handicap match against Al Snow and Maven.  He knocked Al out of the ring and Chokeslammed Maven to end the match.  He said he would accept Flair's challenge only if Flair begged him for the match.  Flair came out and started assaulting the Undertaker, but inadvertently hit a fan when 'Taker and Flair had brawled in the crowd.  Flair was arrested and couldn't see the Undertaker silently chuckling as Flair was hauled away.
Kane started destroying Jericho, but the Undisputed Champion recovered and battled back.  He hit a dropkick, but Kane was about to hit him with a Chokeslam when Kurt hit the Big Red Machine with an Olympic Slam while Steph distracted the ref.  It gave Jericho enough time to hit the Lionsault for the 1-2-3.  Kane and Kurt began brawling after the match, but Kurt ran to the parking lot.  He attacked Kane from behind and started hitting him with objects before dropping a steel door (like a garage door) on the Big Red Machine.  Meanwhile in the ring, HHH came down and wanted his robe back.  He was about to Pedigree Steph, but Jericho saved her.  HHH gave Jericho back his titles, but kept his own robe.
Lita demolished Stacy and pinned her, but when Stacy attacked her from behind, Lita hit a moonsault on her.  Jazz than planted Lita with a DDT.
Stephanie was overjoyed when she saw her car and got the keys from HHH.  As she was going around the front, she noticed that the car seemed a little bit smaller; that was because HHH had the car cut in half, and Stephanie was furious.
The Rock had his ribs taped for his match against Scott Hall, and the Bad Guy came out in actual wrestling attire as opposed to Jeans and the nWo T-Shirt.  They battled back and forth, but Hall took advantage of Hogan and Nash distracting the ref.  Hogan also got some shots in on the Rock, and Hall hit him with a Fallaway Slam.  Out of no where, the Rock hit Rock Bottom, but the nWo attacked him.  The numbers were too much and the Rock went down, but the glass broke as the Texas Rattlesnake came to the ring to make the odds a little better.  Together, he and the Rock knocked the nWo out of the ring, but were surprised when Vince McMahon came out.  McMahon said that since Rock and Austin wanted the nWo so bad, they would have them in a handicap match on Raw!  Austin threw beers at the nWo and McMahon before he and the Rock shared a couple of Steveweisers as Smackdown went off the air.
