Bio: Chris Jericho jumped ship from WCW in 1998 and made a huge impact by interrupting the Rock. Y2J quickly became a fan favorite and had some incredible matches with Kurt Angle and fellow Canadian Chris Benoit over the Intercontinental and European Titles in his earlier career. Jericho became endeared to the people for his repeated insults of Stephanie, calling her a "filthy, disgusting, brutal, bottom-feeding, bargain based trash bag Ho!" and even got a WWF Title victory over an enraged HHH, but the match was stricken from the record books by the irate HHH. After a temporary treaty with Chyna, Jericho lost the IC Title to her and her boyfriend, Latino Heat Eddie Guerrero. Jericho drifted for several months without being able to take the step to stardom and an official major championship victory until the Alliance Invasion, when he and the Rock traded back the WCW Title several times, establishing Jericho officially as a main eventer. He shocked the world at Vengeance in 2001, defeating both the Rock and Stone Cold (albeit with some help) to become the first ever Undisputed Champion. Since his feud with the Rock, Jericho has become a petty, jealous man who insists that he is a fighting champion, but often resorts to underhanded tactics to preserve his precious title. While defeating HHH at Wrestlemania may seem impossible, Chris Jericho enlisted the aid of HHH's soon to be-ex wife, Stephanie McMahon, a bitter, enraged woman that wants to just see HHH lose. Her presence and ability in Jericho's corner could give him enough to defeat HHH at Wrestlemania X-8, but Jericho will have to have one of the best matches of his career. |
