WEB DESIGN
Well hope you have had a look at all the ways a website can be designed. Put your basic design on paper. This helps you to get organised. Have a separate sheet for each of your web page. Lay it on the table and have a look at them critically. What information should go where. Plan the site navigation. This means how will the visitor move around in my site. Oh! lets say he comes here, looks at this, he can go here, here, here and so on .. The main page will be the index page usually called "index.html", this is what will come up when someone goes to your site. This should contain a brief introduction to what the site is all about. It should have links to the different pages with indication for the visitor as to what he is likely to get if he follows the link. Please do not put all the information in this page. The visitor will not go through all the stuff top to bottom. He has an easier way out, the back button or the close window button. Make proper use of spaces to separate out the texts relating to specific topics. Try to keep a standard similar look throughout your website. Use a template for your pages. Making each page different, just because you can make it, does not give an appealing effect. Visitors may think they have gone to a different site altogether! Well, are you through with the paper work? You perhaps thought it was all about sitting on the new computer and typing out text! Sharpen your software skills start your computer and you are ready for the next stage.
