Friday The 13th
10-13-00

Naturally, since it was Friday the 13th and there was a full moon, we had to do something scary. We had been to Kirtland many times before so we weren't sure if that is where we wanted to go. But we decided to go for it and everyone jumped into the two cars and left.

We went down this road that we've been down many times before but never done anything on and there was a rickety old barn. All six of us (me, Paul, Justin, Jenny, Heather, Dave and Erin) Paul and Justin wanted to go in the barn and see what was in there. Who knows, cows? Bats? We were just standing there deciding whether or not to go in the barn. There was a house right across the street from the barn and we were all kind of nervous that they would see us if it were there barn. Well we're standing there and I kept looking at the house and I saw a person walk by the window. I'm like, "PEOPLE PEOPLE!" and we all go running. Then! We were standing by the two cars and there were headlights coming down the road. We all freaked out and ran into the woods that were right there. These weren't ordinary woods with a trail. Oh no...we all toppled all over each other because we tripped over the sticks, mini trees and branches. We all that sticks and prcikers everywhere. It was hilarious. Then we got the heck out of there. Then we went to Chapin Forest, which is part of the Lake Metroparks and it's illegal to be there after dusk. So we went and walked for about 20 minutes on the trails and me, Jenny, Dave and Erin got creeped out so we left the other three. They were out there for like 20 more minutes. Nothing happened on our exciting walk on the trails of Chapin Forest.

So once again, we all survived another night in Kirtland.
