The Night We All Remember

Let me start from the very beginning. One day when Heather and Paul were driving around Kirtland, they found a street called Blair Lane. Spooky...you know, like the "Blair Witch Project". They told us about it and we all decided to drive down it one night. Well I was home one weekend and I went down with them. Nothing happened that night. But don't worry, the story gets better.

I came home the next weekend from school and I went out with Heather and everyone. We decided that we wanted to do something scary that night. Jason had his vieo camera so we wanted to make a movie of some sorts. There are these woods by Jason's house that he has heard stories about. We were curious so we were going to go walk through them. It ended up not happening because the neighbors by the woods kept watching us and we were getting really nervous so we left. We met up with Erin, Dave and Tim. Tim knew this place in Kirtland that turned out to just be a field. I think there was supposed to be a little shack there or something but it sure wasn't. Maybe the aliens or cult people took it? Jason is taping the whole time and with all of our scary adventures, we all have a partner. Heather was with Paul, Erin was with Tim, I was with Jason and Dave was just floating around to everyone. There was one part on the video where Jason is showing everyone walking in front of us and (sorry Dave, I have to share this!) Dave is walking next to Paul and it looks like they are holding hands. We kept saying they were the "happy couple". It was just too funny!

After this failed mission, we went to the Melonheads woods. It was just me, Paul, Jason and Heather by now. We were walking and I had the flashlight so Jason could see up ahead. One funny thing in the video is Jason saying, "Stephanie...up ahead!" Sorry that I can't control a flashlight! *LOL* So we walked up there and there is a shack about halfway up. We call it the Slaughterhouse because...people used to be slaughtered there? I don't know for sure. There is a rusty bedframe outside of the house and old pop cans and junk all over. It is kind of creepy. So as we're walking back, Jason stepped in something and he's freaking out because it was poop and he was the only one who stepped in it. (Boy, do I wish I could put that video on here somehow!!) That was funny.

So we get in the car and leave and we decide to go to Blair Lane. We drive down the road slowly and Jason has his video camera running. We drive down and there is this building on the left that has red lights in it. It makes it look really scary. We're like, "Maybe there is a cult meeting going on and they need sacrifices or something!" You know us...trying to scare ourselves. So we get down to the end and turn around. We start heading up and Jason looks back and says that he sees lights coming towards us through the trees. None of us could see them so we thought he was lying. So he told us to stop for a few seconds and see. Dumb idea! We stopped and the lights started coming closer and closer. I'm screaming and flipping out. I'm hitting Jason because I was freaking out. (Sorry about that Jason!) On the video you can see the lights coming closer to us and you can hear every stupid comment that comes out of my mouth. That's my embarrassing Kirtland moment...that video! *LOL* So the truck chases us all the way off Blair Lane and up the road to the stop sign. Oops...good thing there were no cops around because we totally blew that stop sign! But the truck stopped at the stop sign and turned left and we were back on our way home.

The reason I said that everyone remembers this night is because everyone saw the tape...numerous times.
