We were very
lucky with the accomodation here and ended up with this view across
the bay. (see right)
The treaty
house is here at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds (www.waitangi.net.nz).
There are some amazing woodcarvings on the walls. It is a really
good location to go to find the history of the native inhabitants
and how they interacted with the colonists.
Since we
were still recovering from Jet lag when we were staying there
we were still waking at near enough sunrise.
