TERROR IN BALI
2002-10-19 Again with disbelieve we were watching another unspeakablekilling innocent people by terrorists this time in Bali
in Indonesia. Most of the victims were holidaying and enjoying
beautiful time in Bali and nobody expected to die in such terrible
circumstances. Why did it happen again? Why did they have to die, more
than 180 people mostly Australians for no reason? Everyone is
asking themselves when that inexcusable and unjustifiable
events done by terrorists around the world will end. The Prime
Minister of Australia John Howard said: “what happened was barbaric,
brutal mass murder without justification”. Everyone
agrees with that but what does the Government do for protecting
citizens? Do the Governments around the globe do enough to prevent
such dreadful killings? Fight with terrorism can’t go on only
by using the force, because violent creates violent and more
hatred. Maybe politicians should clearly explain and acknowledge
come from and where regenerating terrorists group and why? We are living in a very bad time of history where
division and hatred between countries are growing. USA the biggest
power on earth, which started war against terrorism, doesn’t
want to see that they are also part of the problem of spreading hatred
and terror around. I don’t see that fight with terrorism will be over so
soon, because developed countries with the longest democratic systems
have done nothing to prevent creating undemocratic governments,
which terrorises and kills their
own citizens. Secondly we have to acknowledge that the biggest problem is that Muslim countries are based on
Koran. That means their political system is built on hatred
against unbelievers, Christians particularly. Of course Israel is not helpful
to change that because they have been killing innocent Muslim for
almost 50 years and Australian Government did nothing about it. Double standards are the most common nature of the most developed and so
called democratic governments. Australia is between them.
Australian Government knows very well that, and still putting
business first before democracy and freedom but that is not tolerable. Thirdly developed countries don’t do enough to help the
poorest countries rebuild their very poor performance in
economical, political, social and educational platform. Problems of terrorism won’t be solved at all, because
politicians around the world particularly in Muslim countries
created terror and spread hatred against other people, because of their
religion believe or other selfish policies. The most important
thing in the future policy of peaceful solution with fight with
terrorism is the trust and understanding of other peoples rights to
freedom and democracy, freedom to express yourself without being
prosecuted or killed. But I don’t think so that politicians care
about long-term solution, they prefer quick way out from that by using force,
violence and terror. Helping out Governments for fighting with
internal opposition by supporting undemocratic regimes by money
and weapons, knowing that they are simply violating human
rights it’s definitely regrettable. One thing is certain, that
nobody want more killing innocent victims by stupid and disgraceful
people hiding behind terrorist attacks. We would like to see
peace and harmony in our lives and we hope that memory of so
tragically killed and injured innocent people in Bali and around the
world would help us go successfully to stop the madness of
terrorism. One day maybe we will see that but this is a long way to
go. Please go to see my previous articles: 1 WAR AGAINST IRAQ 3 VIOLENCE
