previous instruction in the following elements of poetry: rhyme scheme,
stanza. subject, theme, mood, and imagery. |

Students should have previous
experience with the process of editing creative writing with partners. |

Groups should be heterogeneous
as far as creative writing ability, with best practice being the teacher
assigning group members. |
|
Research information
and poem drafts for the groups should be kept in a designated location
for daily retrieval. |
