Swayambunath stupa and nagarkot- 16th feb 2001

SWAYAMBUNATH TEMPLE

It is one of the world's most glorious Bhuddist chaityas nearly 2000 years old .It is atop a hillock and the climb is worth it.The beautiful architecture  and the very ancient stupa .Moreover the beautiful Katmandu valley can be seen in an excellent view.It also has a Bhudhist monastry associated with it.    

 

NAGARKOT

    This is a hill resort .height is nearly 7000 m .This spot is a famous honeymoon spot.The speciality is the spectacular Sunrise and sunset view from the top of the hill.The whole of Katmandu valley can be seen in an excellent view . It is  a beautifull resort and people come here for holidays and picnic.If you are lucky then you can see the Snow capped peaks from atop a tower constructed on top.
