Old Business
A huge thank you to Heather and Bill Duncan our Fall Picnic coordinators. We had a wonderful day, a fantastic turnout and fabulous food.  Thank you again for a job WELL DONE…..

The Pack has begun the Fall Popcorn Sale.  Flyers were distributed to all scouts at the September Pack Meeting.  All orders must be turned into Brenda no later than October 24th.  Kevin K. reported that he would need help picking up the popcorn at the warehouse on November 10th.  We will then sort it and the Den Leaders will come to pick up their Den’s later that day.  The K. may not be able to sort the popcorn at their house as they are in the process of selling it.  Kevin will announce at the Pack Meeting what time the helpers should arrive and what time the Den Leaders should arrive for pick-up.

The Methodist Children’s Home project is quickly approaching.  Diane L. has graciously agreed to be our new Service Chairperson.  We will secure the wish list from the Home for distribution at the Pack Meeting. Mr. Rhoads reports that the list is usually similar to last years list.  Gifts or Money are accepted as donations.

Food preparation will take place on Thursday, November 15th at St. Paul’s at 6:30 PM.  Mr. Pat E. has agreed to head the food committee for Winter Camp.  Some food will go up on Friday evening. Webelos II are also responsible for taking food for breakfast on Saturday morning for all scouts and parents that stayed overnight.  Mr. R. reported that in the past he has secured the dry food items at any time before camp and the perishable items on the Thursday that preparation will take place.  A discussion concerning the spaghetti was brought up.  Since the spaghetti is cooked and frozen it should be removed from the freezer at camp and allowed to thaw well ahead of mealtime preparation.  Tiger Cubs are invited to participate all day Saturday.  They may not stay overnight, but are encouraged to stay for the campfire Saturday night.   Each Den will be responsible for coming up with a skit for the campfire.

Volleyball, knot tying, fire safety and cooking, BB gun shooting, forestry, pinewood display stand construction and compass are the activities that we will concentrate on at Fall Camp. The volleyball nets will be set-up and are adjustable for height.  We will also use a soft volleyball, as this will help the younger scouts with this activity.  The model display stands will include sanding, attaching the base with screws, attaching felt pads to the bottom of the stand and attaching Velcro strips to the display area.  It was suggested that the stands be pre-drilled.  Mike O. will be working with Mr. Pete S. along with other parents to prepare these stands for assembly.  Jeff M. suggested that we let the scouts stain their stands.  The stain dries quickly and should fill the time allowed by the 40-minute rotation schedule for the afternoon activities.  All stations should have fillers just in case your activity runs short.  Jeff K. will organize the Boy Scouts to help at each station.  He volunteered to run the fire safety and cooking station and will ask Mr. N. to run the forestry station.

Sam M. is aware of our needs for Fall Camp and will be contacted again by Jeff M.   Boy Scout Troop 190 is planning on being at camp with us that weekend.  They have registered for their own lodging and will be assisting us with our activities and stations.  Troop 190 will run our Sunday vesper service.

A caravan of cars will leave both Friday night for Webelos II and also on Saturday morning for all other Scouts.  We will continue to use the Old Giant parking lot on Gettysburg Road as a meeting spot.

Forms for drivers will be available for all drivers at the October Pack Meeting.  We should have these on file for all drivers.

New Business
A discussion concerning the Pack Roster was brought up.  Leslie suggested that our Fall Roster would not be complete until Brenda K. goes to charter the Pack.  Our current list will continue to change until that time.  She will work with Brenda to update the list.  It appears that we have 16 new Tiger Cubs. That would bring our total to 59.  Kevin K. handed out additional registration forms.  All scouts need to fill them out and hand them in as soon as possible.

We received a reservation form from the friends of scouting to sign up for their annual visit.  The committee decided January was the best time for this presentation.  Mike will complete the form and send it to counsel.

T-Shirt and Sweatshirt order forms will be available at the October Pack Meeting. T-Shirts are approx. $7.50 and Sweatshirts are approx. $19.50.  If ordered at the Pack Meeting they will be available for distribution by Winter Camp.  Gary Kline is handling this sale.
