The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM on Thursday, November 2, 2000.  In attendance were: Mark M., Terry S., Jack R., Carol R., Kevin K., Frank B., Mike O., Rick H., Leslie C., Pat E., Gary K., Casey M. and Jeff M.

Secretary's report:  No minutes were available from the last Committee Meeting due to secretary vacancy.

Treasurer's report:  The ending balance as of Oct. 31, 2000 was $1,838.20.  A motion was made by Frank B. and seconded by Jeff M. to approve the treasurer's report as read.

Old Business

Popcorn sales were approximately $6,400.00.  The pack profit from this fund raiser was approximately $2,000.00 less expenses and awards.  Last year we raised $1,945.00 with our sub sales and sandwich sales combined.  Good work!  A big thank you to Brenda K. for organizing our pack popcorn sales.  Den leaders should plan on picking up their den's orders from Brenda's house on November 11, 2000, between the hours of 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.  Call Brenda K. for instructions to her home.  Payment for all popcorn sales is due to the council prior to the December pack meeting.  The committee asked that payment instructions be given at the November pack meeting.

Fall Camp is scheduled for Nov. 17 - 19, 2000, at Hidden Valley.  Activities planned for the weekend include knot tying, cooking/fire safety, orienteering, ultimate frisbee, first aid, craft, forestry, bb gun and building a fishing pole.  We currently have 24 boys and 23 adults registered.  The deadline for registering for camp will be extended until the November Pack meeting.  Patches are being ordered for camp and will be available for $2.00 each.  Adults are still needed to help with certain sessions on Saturday.  Please see Mark M. if you are interested in helping at Fall Camp.  All den leaders are asked to bring a compass to camp.  A reminder to all den leaders that two adults from each den are needed to help on Thursday, November 16, 2000, at 6:30 PM to prepare food for the camping trip.

All donated items for the Holiday Service Project at the United Methodist Home in Shiremanstown will be delivered the Friday after Thanksgiving.  This worthwhile service project is being conducted in conjunction with the Upper Allen Kiwanis.  Your generosity will help these children to have a special holiday season.  Please contact Jack R. with any further questions.

New Business

A Cubmaster will be needed for the 2001-2002 year.  Mark M. will be stepping down from this position to help in another capacity.  He would like to begin to have the person filling his position start to learn the ropes for an easy transition.  Contact Mark M. to learn more about this position.

A Committee Chairman will also be needed for the 2001-2002 scouting year, as Terry S. will be moving on to help with Boy Scout Troop 190.

A Treasurer will also be needed for the 2001-2002 scouting year, as Carol R. son will be moving up to Boy Scout Troop 190.

Please consider any of these positions.  We depend on the parents of our cubs to keep this wonderful pack going.  These positions would begin in June 2001, but it is not too early to think about serving the pack in any of these capacities.

Re-Chartering will be coordinated by Brenda K. and is currently being computerized for future re-chartering.  We currently have 50 boys registered in Pack 190.

Pinewood Derby kits will be handed out at the November Pack meeting.
