The meeting was called to order at 7:36 PM. In attendance were: Pat E., Sharon H., Gary K., Casey M., Jeff M., Mike O., Terry S. and Russ W. Also in attendance was Pam C. from the Council Office.

Secretary's report:    Minutes were previously posted on the web site and were handed out at the April Pack Meeting. Minutes were approved as written. Motion was made by Jeff M. and seconded by Terry S.

Treasurer's report:    Balance as of March 31, 2002 was $2,186.79. Placed on file for audit.

Old Business

Service Projects   Pam C. spoke to the committee concerning the new den of boys she has formed at the Methodist Home. She currently has 4 Boys, 1 fourth grader and 3 fifth graders. The den was formed in February 2001 and they are currently working on their Webelos requirements. She welcomes the participation of our dens and feels the boys may benefit from participating in some of our Pack activities. The committee extended an open invitation to her and her den to participate in any activities she feels are appropriate. Any den wishing to include Pam's den in an activity may contact her. This would be a wonderful project for our Pack and the committee welcomes any other ideas for service projects.

Calendar Planning   See attached sheet for upcoming Calendar events and summer activities.

T-Shirts   Gary K. reported that the T-shirts were handed out at the Pack Meeting and a second order is on the way. There was a $70.00 art set-up fee and an additional $20.00 fee for production that Gary paid directly to the printer. Jeff M. made a motion to reimburse Gary for costs incurred for the shirts. A total of 40 shirts were sold. Next year we will have to include this art fee in the cost to the scouts if we change artwork.

Popcorn Sales   No report on this activity was available.

Volunteer Manual   Mike reminded all committee members to fill out their job descriptions and forward them to him as soon as possible.

New Business

Camp   Camp deadlines in order to receive the discounted rates will be set as the April Pack Meeting. All registrations should be turned in through Jeff M. The troop would like to be able to keep track of which of our boys go and when. We currently have 15 boys and partners signed up to go, 5 to the June weekend and 10 to the August weekend. Please let us know if you have signed up to go and did not send the registration thru Jeff M.

New Positions Filled:   A Big Thank you!!   Summer Picnic Chairperson Position has been filled by Mr. Bob H. Thank you!!

Gifts   A plaque gift was discussed by the committee to give to Terry and Mark in appreciation of their service. Casey M. will look into this at the Council Shop.

Reminders

A representative from each Den should plan to attend the monthly Pack Committee Meetings.

Open Positions

A Service Chairperson is needed for next year. This would involve our Christmas program with the Methodist Home and the Scouting for Food Program.

A Membership Chairperson is needed for our Back to Scouting Night and Registration campaign. This position will also be involved in seeing that flyers are distributed thru the schools.

Dates To Remember

The next Committee Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 7, 2002 at 7:30 PM at St. Paul's.

The May Pack Meeting will be on Friday May 18, 2002 at Jeff M's home. If it is raining, the meeting will be held at St. Paul's.

The Memorial Day Parade will be at 9:30 Am in the back parking lot of St. Joseph's School. We will practice marching. The parade ends with a ceremony in the Memorial Cemetery.
