The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM at Saint Paul’s. In attendance were: Frank B., Leslie C., Pat E., Rick H., Sharon H., Casey M., Cathy M., Mike O., Mick S. and Russ W.. Secretary's report:   Minutes from February were approved as corrected. The minutes were posted on the web site. Under positions needed we will change the wording New Assistant Cub master to Cub Master. Treasurer's report: Balance as of February 28, 2002 was $2,426.90. Old Business Blue and Gold Banquet A Big Thank you is extended to Beth B. and her crew of helpers. Boy Scouts from Troop 190 were a huge help with the set-up and serving. Thank you to all who spent many hours preparing such a wonderful event. We would also like to thank Mr. Jack R. for preparing such a delicious meal for us. Bridging Ceremony Troop 190 will bring all the necessary items for the Bridging Ceremony. Jeff has been in contact with Jeff K., Scout Master of Troop 190 and they are ready. We would like to recognize the tireless efforts of our Webelos II Leaders and others that will be leaving our pack as their son’s bridge to scouting. The committee will be purchasing gifts for each of them at the scout store or other local businesses. These gifts will be presented at the Pack Meeting in March. Spring Popcorn Sale Lois G. was not available at the meeting to bring us any information on this event. Casey M. will check with her to see if she has secured the materials to hand out at the Pack Meeting. The goal of the Pack is for every boy to sell $20.00 worth of popcorn! Remember this sale helps us pay for Winter Camp. Scouting for Food Scouting for food is scheduled for Saturdays, March 16th and 23rd. The bags will be distributed on March 16th and the bags will be picked up on the 23rd. Diane L. will organize this event. 9:00 AM was given as the time to begin distribution of the bags, but exact time and location for each Den to meet is up to the Den Leader. Some of the neighborhoods we have covered in the past were taken by other troops/packs. Exact neighborhood information will be available at the Pack Meeting. Our pack is working in conjunction with Bob B. from Troop 190. New Business Tiger Cub Fun Day This event is scheduled for March 18, 2002. There is an Orientation night on March 12, 2002 at 7:00 PM at KAC. Leslie C. will attend. Dollars for Doers Program The Dollars for Doers Program from Tyco Electronics has given us a donation of $250.00 for the volunteer hours the Pat E. has given to Pack 190 during 2001. Any other pack volunteers who work for Tyco may be interested in looking into this program. The Pack has placed this donation into our account at the Council. This will be used to buy awards and, patches, Thank you Pat! Boy Scout Weekend Cathy M. presented information to the Committee concerning the Boy Scout Weekend to be held August 23 –25, 2002 at Hershey Park. You can choose the Day Program, 1 Night or 2 Nights. This program is held rain or shine and the cost includes admission to Hershey Park. Please see Cathy for more info. Reminders A representative from each Den should plan to attend the monthly Pack Committee Meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 5, 2002 at 7:00 pm @ St. Paul’s. Council should have mailed a Summer Camp brochure to every scout’s home. Pat E. will discuss Camp at the March Pack Meeting. Three Parent and Pal weekends are being offered this summer. Payment can be made to Pat at the March Pack Meeting. Open Positions Cub Master position will be open for the 2002-2003 scouting year. Assistant Cub Master position will be open for the 2002-2003 scouting year. Treasurer will be an open position for the 2002-2003 season. This person needs to have Quicken on their computer for this important position. Charter Chairperson/Membership position will be open for the 2002-2003 year. Pack Trainer/Librarian position will be open for the 2002-2003 year. An Assistant in Training for Awards and Summertime Activities Coordinator position is needed for the 2002-2003 year. We need Assistants in Training for the Blue and Gold Banquet and Pinewood Derby for next year. We have a job description book for more information on any of these positions. This organization is a success because of the dedicated parents. Please consider helping Pack 190! As you can tell from the open positions many dedicated volunteers have sons that are going to be Webelos II next year. After this time next year they will be leaving the Pack. Please step forward and help wherever you can. Thank you! Dates To Remember The next Committee Meeting is scheduled for April 5, 2002 at 7:00 PM at St. Paul's. The Pack Meeting is scheduled for March 15, 2002 at 7:00 PM @ St. Paul’s. Tiger Cub Fun Day is scheduled for May 18, 2002. Hockey Game is scheduled for Sunday, March 17, at 6:00 PM. Home
