The meeting was called to order at 7:55 PM.  In attendance were:  Leslie C., Sharon H., Casey M., Jeff M., Mike O., Mark M. and Russ W.

Secretary's report:  Minutes were previously posted on the web site and were handed out at the May Pack Meeting. Minutes were approved as corrected; motion was made by Leslie C. and seconded by Sharon H.  The corrections were that Bill and Heather D. are the picnic chairpersons, not Mr. Hall as in the minutes.  Also, the date of the August hike is 8/5/01 not 8/1/01.

Treasurer's report:  Balance as of May 31, 2001 was $1,334.39.  Placed on file for audit.

Old Business 

The Gettysburg Hike was a success with 12 cubs, 15 adults and 2 other children.  The event was enjoyed by all.

The Duncan's will be the picnic chairpersons.  The picnic is scheduled for September 22, 2001, at the Lower Allen Township Park.  We will invite the Duncan's to the September committee meeting.

Brenda K. will contact us with a date for the upcoming popcorn sale.

On Tuesday night, June 12, 2001, the Mechanicsburg School Board will hold a meeting at 7:30 pm.  The cub scout flyer issue will be on the agenda.  Leslie is planning on speaking on behalf of our flyer.

New Business

Mark M. is planning on signing up pack 190 for winter camp on June 1, 2001, and reserving 4 cabins.  The pack can receive a refund for any cabins with a 30 day notice.  We will have to notify KAC with any changes by October 16, 2001.  We will make a big push for Fall Camp at the September pack meeting.  Registration fees and money go straight to the pack.

A check for $50 was sent to the Black Endowment Fund.  Andy Black, the father of two of our former scouts recently passed away.

Leslie C. will temporarily act as Tiger Cub Den Leader and Membership Chairperson.

A Service Chairperson is needed for next year. This would involve our Christmas program with the Methodist Home and the Scouting for Food Program.

A suggestion was made by Mark M. that Jeff get a copy of the new program guide to help with pack meetings.

M. Martin handed over a few boxes of pack items, uniform bank box, first aid kit and other pack notebooks to some of the new committee members.

Sharon H. will look into Pack auditing to see if the books are due for audit.

Reminders

The next Pack Meeting  will be on Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at 7:00 PM at St. Paul's.

The next Committee Meeting will be on Thursday, July 12, 2001, at 7:30 PM at St. Paul's.

Any den responsible for the flag ceremony should report to St. Paul's one-half hour before the pack meeting.  In addition to the ceremony they will also be responsible for setting up the chairs.  At the end of the pack meeting the den will also be responsible for putting away the chairs and returning the church hall to it's daily setup.  A drawing of the hall setup will be available.  Thank you.
