The meeting was called to order at 7:39 PM at St. Paul's. In attendance were: Frank B, Leslie C., Russ H., Casey M., Jeff M., Mike O., Kathy R., Mick S. and Russ W..

Secretary's report:    Minutes from May were approved. The minutes were posted on the web site.

Treasurer's report:    Balance as of May 30, 2002 was $2,684.74.

Old Business

Wildlife Weekend Program:   2002 Wildlife weekend packages were discussed. Cathy M. was unavailable for a report. The committee was unaware if the minimum number of campers was met. The dates are August 24- 26th. Contact Cathy for details.

Twilight Camp:   July 8 to 12, 2002 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Payment of $35.00 is due to June 1st.

New Business

Fall Picnic:   The Fall picnic is scheduled for 09/21/02 at Koser Park in Mechanicsburg from 3 PM to 7 PM. Heather D. is arranging the Picnic again this year.

Winter Camp:   Jeff M. registered the troop for winter camp. He secured enough space so that Boy Scout Troop 190 will again be able to join us that weekend. There is currently a problem with one of the cabins we registered for. Council is trying to resolve this problem of double booking. Troop 190 owes the Pack $70.00.

Membership Cards:   The Pack recently received membership cards. They will be handed out at the first Pack Meeting. There were some mistakes with the cards. Mike O. will be handling the problems with the cards.

Adventure District Camping:   The district is sponsoring a Family Camping Weekend September 14- 15th, 2002. The fee is $12.50 per family up to 4 members and $5.00 for each additional family member. Children under age 5 are free. This camping will take place at Hidden Valley. Arrival will be on Saturday morning between 7:00 am and 10:00 am. Program areas will be open at 10:00 am and Campfire will be at 8:00 pm. Each family provides their own tent, camping gear, food and personal gear. Program areas will be archery, BB gun, crafts and games. For more information contact Council.

School Notices:   According to Leslie C., this year’s notice should be coming from Brian at Council. She will verify with him that this is being handled.

Reminders

A representative from each Den should plan to attend the monthly Pack Committee Meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 11, 2002 at 7:30 pm @ St. Paul’s. NOTE: The committee meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 18th.

Open Positions

Shadow for Assistant Cub Master position will be open for the 2002-2003 scouting year.

Treasurer will be an open position for the 2002-2003 season. This person needs to have Quicken on their computer for this important position.

Charter Chairperson/Membership position will be open for the 2002-2003 year.

Pack Trainer/Librarian position will be open for the 2002-2003 year.

Awards and Summertime Activities Shadow will be open for next year.

An Assistant in Training for Awards Coordinator is needed for the 2002-2003 year.

We need Assistants in Training for the Pinewood Derby for next year. We have a job description book for more information on any of these positions. This organization is a success because of the dedicated parents. Please consider helping Pack 190!

As you can tell from the open positions many dedicated volunteers have sons that are going to be Webelos II next year. After this time next year they will be leaving the Pack. Please step forward and help wherever you can. Thank you!
