January 2003
Committee Meeting

Eagle

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM at St. Paul's.  In attendance were:  Beth B., Dave B., Pat E., Rick H., Casey M., Mike O., Kevin P., and Chris Y..

Secretary's report:    Minutes from December were approved.  The minutes were distributed at the December Pack Meeting and posted on the website.

Treasurer's report:    Our new treasurer is working on balancing the current accounts.

Old Business

Winter Camp:   Several items were found at camp. A hat is still unclaimed. Jeff will mention this at the pack meeting.

The letter Jeff M. wrote in response to Keystone’s letter concerning vandalism was passed around. The committee felt it was an accurate response from the Pack.

Popcorn Sale:   Lois G. has received all the prizes for the popcorn sale.  All the prizes are organized and will be passed out at the Pack Meeting.

Pinewood Derby:   Frank was unavailable, but Beth informed us that everything was ready to go.  Many prizes have been received as consolation prizes. The church will be open at approx. 2 PM tomorrow for set-up.  Kevin P. will be bringing his digital camera for car pictures. He will also be bringing a sound system for announcing.

Blue and Gold Banquet:   Mrs. B. said everything is moving along fine.  It is scheduled for Sunday, February 23rd at 5:00 PM.  The cost will be $2.00 per person.  Each family will bring a main dish or a salad and a desert.  The program and other information relating to Blue and Gold will be forwarded to Beth B..  Mrs. B. volunteered to put the program together for this year.

Website:   Our web master, Kevin P., has checked into the regulations concerning pictures on the website.  We must have a signed permission form. It was agreed that this would be a part of the registration materials signed each fall.

New Business

Next Committee Meeting:   The next committee meeting will be held at 49 West Main Street, Mechanicsburg.  This is Gary K.’s place of business. Entrance is in the front of the building.  Meeting is February 6, 2003 at 7:00 PM.

Hockey Game:   Russ W. will be scheduling a troop activity to see the Hershey Bears play Binghamton Senators on Sunday, March 9, 2003 at 6:00 PM. This game will be played in the new Giant Arena.  Tickets will be $10.00 each for 200 level seating.

Leslie C.:   Leslie looked in the costs at a new printer. Mailboxes etc. will charge 3.5 cents per copy.  The new secretary may want to look into this arrangement. We can set up an account so members can charge the printing to the account.

Savings Account:   Chris Y. our new treasurer noticed that we have a small savings account opened up with a $58.00 balance.  He was wondering if we would like to transfer some of the Pack Account to this interest earning account.  He will check into what type of accounts and or balances are required.
