The meeting was called to order at 7:07 PM at the offices of Mr. Gary K..  In attendance were:  Beth B., Dave B., Cindy C., Pat E., Rick H., Gary K., Casey M., Jeff M., Mike O., Kevin P., Mick S., Cathy T, and Russ W..

Secretary's report:    Minutes from January were approved.  The minutes were distributed at the January Pack Meeting and posted on the website.

Treasurer's report:    The Treasurer provided Mike O. with the current balance of $2912.20.  Treasurer’s Report was approved.

Old Business

Blue and Gold Banquet:   Beth B., Cathy T. and Cindy C. were present to give all the details on the Blue and Gold.  It is scheduled for Sunday, February 23rd at 5:00 PM.  The cost is $2.00 per person.  Each family will bring a main dish or a salad and a desert.   The program and other information relating to Blue and Gold were forwarded to Beth B.. Jeff M. passed around copies of the program and asked for corrections.  A few were given and noted.  After corrections are made Jeff will forward corrected version to Beth who will see that they are printed and ready for the B&G.

Mark M. will be our speaker.  Mr. T. will not be there, but we will ask Mr. Frank G. to give the Invocation and Benediction. Another Kiwanis member will be present to give the check to the Pack.  We will have a moment of silence for the Columbia Shuttle Astronauts. We will be passing out the order of the 20.  16 boys are receiving this honor.  Jeff will pick up 16 Scout Handbooks for the ceremony. He will also get the special candleholder from the Troop for use in the ceremony. The Arrow of Light ceremony will be presented on stage.  Service pins will be presented to leaders. Pat E. will prepare or secure the Summer Camp Informational Placemats. About 200 programs and placemats will be needed. Regular awards will also be handed out and well as service pins to the boys.

The donation to the church was discussed.  The Pack will check with the Treasurer to see what the normal donation has been in the past.

Scouting for Food:   Scouting for food will be held Saturday, March 15 and Saturday, March 22^nd.  Beginning at 9:00 am we are meeting at the Town and Country Baptist Church parking lot. On the 15^th we will be handing out the door hangers announcing the pick up day.  On the 22^nd will be the food pickup. Please plan on attending.  Since this is the day after bridging the new Boy Scouts will be there to help Troop 190.

New Business

Next Committee Meeting:   The next committee meeting will be held at St. Paul's on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 7:00 PM.

Hockey Game:   Russ W. has arranged for the Pack to see the Hershey Bears play Binghamton Senators on Sunday, March 9, 2003 at 6:00 PM. This game will be played in the new Giant Arena.  Tickets will be $10.00 each for 200 level seating.

Bridging:   Friday, March 14, 2003 at St. Paul’s. The regular meeting will be held first then Mr. Jeff K. will run the bridging ceremony.  One boy is going to another troop. Hopefully we can have a representative from the Troop at our meeting to accept him. We will need to include information on Scouting for Food and Summer Camp.  All boys bridging should be wearing the brown colored Boy Scout shirt for the ceremony.

Flag Emblem:   It was brought up that the Flag emblem broke at the last Pack meeting.  Casey M. made a motion to have a new one purchased. Cost is approx. $36.00. Motion was seconded.

Reminders

A representative from each Den should plan to attend the monthly Pack Committee Meetings.  The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 7:00 pm at St. Paul's Church.

Positions Still Needed:

Summer Activities Coordinator – This position is currently handled by Russ W..  His son will be moving on to Boy Scouts in March.

Secretary – This position will be needed in the spring of 2003, beginning with the April Committee meeting.

Mr. David B. has stepped forward to fill the position of Cub Master for the 2003-2004 Scouting year.  The Pack thanks you!
