Treasurer's report:  Balance as of January 31, 2002 was $2,371.06. Profit from the sale of the Giant certificates was $242.50. A motion to accept the treasurer’s report was made by Leslie C. and seconded by Russ H.

Old Business
A Big Thank you to Frank B. and his Pinewood Derby Staff, Set-up Crew, Announcers, Wendy M. and helpers in the concession stand and everyone that helped make the Derby a success.  Thank You!

February 10, 2002 at 5:00 PM we will hold our annual Blue and Gold Banquet.  The flag ceremony will be given by Webelos II.  Jeff will check with Kathy C. to see if her den has prepared a skit.  If not we will not have any entertainment.  The schedule is quite full and we will have plenty to cover without it.  203 people have signed up to attend.  Don’t forget to bring desert, money for your Giant Certificates and Hockey tickets.  We will hand out the remaining Popcorn tins as door prizes at the Blue and Gold.  Boy Scout Troop 190 will be helping in the kitchen. We have approx. 5 boys signed up to help.  Set-up will begin at 3:00 PM.

Scout Sunday
at St. Paul’s is scheduled for Sunday, February 10, 2002.  Committee Members discussed attendance at the service.  Some members and cubs will be able to attend here at St. Paul’s.  Other members have Boy Scout Sunday at their churches on the same Sunday.

Giant certificates
will be sold up to the last Pack Meeting in May and will resume again at the September Pack Meeting.  This is a great fundraiser and should be encouraged.  With little work and no expense the troop can easily make money every month.  Lois will remind members to order for the upcoming month.

New Business
We received a notice that Pack 190 is the first Cub Pack to raise so much money at a Friends of Scouting Meeting.  Our Pack goal was $1483.00 and we raised $2399.00!!! Wow!

Scouting for food is scheduled for Saturdays, March 16th and 23rd.  The bags will be distributed on March 16th and the bags will be picked up on the 23rd.  We need to contact Diane L. to have her begin to organize this event.  She will need some direction, as this will be her first year through this event.

There will be no Family Fun Walk this spring.

The  Popcorn Sale is coming up soon.  Lois G. will be in charge of the sale for us.  We need to participate in this sale to receive our Keystone Quality Plus Award.  The Committee feels that if every scout sold $20.00 worth we would reach our goal and fulfill the Council requirements.

Council should have mailed a Summer Camp brochure to every scout’s home.  Pat Eagan will discuss the camping options as on the placemats at the Blue and Gold. Three Parent and Pal weekends are being offered this summer.

We have the following Open Positions in pack 190:

Cub Master position will be open for the 2002-2003 scouting year.

Treasurer will be an open position for the 2002-2003 season.  This person needs to have Quicken on their computer for this important position.

We need Assistants in Training for the Blue and Gold Banquet and Pinewood Derby for next year.  We have a job description book for more information on any of these positions.  This organization is a success because of the dedicated parents.  Please consider helping Pack 190!

Reminders

The next Pack Meeting (Blue & Gold Banquet) will be on Sunday, Feb.10, 2002, at 5:00 PM at St. Paul's.

The next Committee Meeting will be on Friday, Mar. 15, 2002, at 7:00 PM at St. Paul's.

Any den responsible for the flag ceremony should report to St. Paul's one-half hour before the pack meeting.  In addition to the ceremony they will also be responsible for setting up the chairs.  At the end of the pack meeting the den will also be responsible for putting away the chairs and returning the church hall to it's daily setup.  A drawing of the hall setup will be available.  Thank you.
