The meeting was called to order at 7:37 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2000.  In attendance were: Mark M., Terry S., Jack R., Carol R., Leslie C., Kevin K., Pat E., Mike O., and Frank B.

Secretary's report:  The minutes for the May 11, 2000, meeting were approved as written. Cub Scout Pack 190 does not have a secretary at this time.

Treasurer's report:  The ending balance as of Aug. 23, 2000 was $1,055.79.  The treasurer's reports have been audited.

Old Business

The website for Pack 190 is now officially open to find up-to-date information including the calendar, registration information and ideas for field trips and service projects.

Back-To-School Night or Rally Night used to sign-up new scouts, has been set for Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at 7:00 PM at the Mechanicsburg Senior High School gymnasium.  The gym and swimming pool will be open for all Scouting families after the rally until 9:00 PM.

A position for Secretary is open in Pack 190.  The Secretary attends the monthly Committee meeting, records the minutes and publishes them.  The Secretary also maintains the Pack calendar and roster.  In addition to the monthly meeting, the responsibilities of this position take about three (3) hours per month.  Please call Mark M. if you are interested.

The committee has authorized Leslie C. to purchase books and supplies as needed for each den leader.  Please let Leslie know which items below are needed:

1.  Cub Scout/Webelos leader book
2.  Cub Scout/Webelos Advancement chart for the wall
3.  Cub Scout record sheet (one for each scout)
4.  Local Tour permit form
5.  Sports & Academics Guide
6.  Uniform Inspection Sheet
7.  Program Helper 2000-2001 

New Business

Summer Activities Report:  Russ W. has the list of those scouts and their families who attended activities this summer.

Budget Planning:  No activity at this time

Other New Business:  Pat E. has volunteered to be a Bear Den Leader for Den 5.
