The meeting was called to order at 7:41 PM at Saint Paul’s. In attendance were: Frank B., Leslie C., Pat E., Lois G., Casey M., Jeff M., Mike O., and Russ W.. Secretary's report:   Minutes from March were approved as corrected. The minutes were posted on the web site. Under positions needed we will change the wording Assistant Cub Master to Shadow for Assistant Cub Master. Tiger Cub Fun Day is May 18th. Treasurer's report: Balance as of March 31, 2002 was $2,448.90. A motion was made by Jeff M. and seconded by Casey M. to purchase new checks. Old Business Scouting for Food Scouting for food was a great success. Thank you to all scouts and parents who volunteered to help. Spring Popcorn Sale Lois G. stated that pickup was May 18th at the Scout store. It was recommended that payment be received up front. All payments must be turned into Lois by June 3rd. The goal of the Pack is for every boy to sell $20.00 worth of popcorn! Tiger Cub Fun Day This event is scheduled for May 18, 2002. Registration is $6.00 per scout and lunch is included. Registration can be accepted for new Tiger Cubs. Boy Scout Wildlife Weekend Cathy M. provided the attached flyer with details about the Wildlife Weekend Packages. If you are interested please see Cathy. The flyer is originally from last year’s program so please note the different prices and dates. New Business Tiger Cub Pride Night Tiger Cub Pride Night will be held on April 19th at 7:00 PM prior to the Pack Meeting. This is a spring registration drive for Brand New Tigers who may be interested in joining our Pack. Also to encourage them to attend the Tiger Cub Fun Day. T-Shirts and Sweatshirts The committee discussed if a spring T-shirt contest should be held. Information on the minimum amount needed to order is needed. Some scouts expressed interest. We will need to speak with Gary K. to see if we have enough time. It was also suggested that we only hold a T-shirt contest in the fall. Riverside Stadium Campout Russ W. provided information on a campout being held by the Harrisburg Senators on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 on City Island. Attached please find a flyer describing the event. This will also be the evening our Pack goes to the Baseball game. Game time is 6:35 PM. Summer Activities The following are the dates for the Pack summer time activities. If a scout attends one activity per month during the summer they will earn the summer-time activity pin. Saturday, June 2, 2002; Gettysburg Hike- Eisenhower Trail. Cost and time to follow. Thursday, June 27, 2002- 2nd Half of the Carlisle Hike. Time to follow. Wednesday, July 3, 2002- Senator Baseball Game and Fireworks. Cub Scout Campout in the outfield will follow the game. No tents with spikes. July 25, 2002- Hike to Pole Steeple. Time to follow. August 22, 2002- Possible Train Ride to Indian Echo Caverns. Details to follow. Attending a Parent and Pal weekend during the summer can count for your activity for that month. Remember 3 weekends are being offered this summer. Meeting Dates for 2002 – 2003 Season: See attached schedule. Reminders A representative from each Den should plan to attend the monthly Pack Committee Meetings. The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 3, 2002 at 7:30 pm @ St. Paul’s. Council should have mailed a Summer Camp brochure to every scout’s home. Three Parent and Pal weekends are being offered this summer. Payment must be made to Pat at the April Pack Meeting. Open Positions Cub Master position will be open for the 2002-2003 scouting year. Shadow for Assistant Cub Master position will be open for the 2002-2003 scouting year. Treasurer will be an open position for the 2002-2003 season. This person needs to have Quicken on their computer for this important position. Charter Chairperson/Membership position will be open for the 2002-2003 year. Pack Trainer/Librarian position will be open for the 2002-2003 year. An Assistant in Training for Awards and Summertime Activities Coordinator position is needed for the 2002-2003 year. We need Assistants in Training for the Blue and Gold Banquet and Pinewood Derby for next year. We have a job description book for more information on any of these positions. This organization is a success because of the dedicated parents. Please consider helping Pack 190! As you can tell from the open positions many dedicated volunteers have sons that are going to be Webelos II next year. After this time next year they will be leaving the Pack. Please step forward and help wherever you can. Thank you! Dates To Remember The next Committee Meeting is scheduled for May 3, 2002 at 7:30 PM at St. Paul's. The Pack Meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2002 at 7:30 PM @ St. Paul’s. Tiger Cub Fun Day is scheduled for May 18, 2002. Hockey Game is scheduled for Sunday, March 17, at 6:00 PM. Home
