The 1st National IT Student Congress
 

 

Congratulations to the Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE), Virtual Center for Technology Innovation in Information Technology (VCTI-IT), and the Student Volunteer Corps (SVC), for the success of the First National IT Student Congress (NITSC), held at UP Theatre, UP Diliman, on September 5 and 6, 2003. Headed by Dr. Jaime D.L. Caro, President of PSITE and the Project Leader of VCTI-IT, and Ms. Jacqueline Antonio, the Congress showcased a total of 18 seminars in two days, including 2 career preparations in ICT. A keynote message from the Executive Director of Information Technology and E-commerce Council (ITECC), Hon. Virgilio Peña, opened the Congress. He addressed the near 3,500 delegates from Aparri to SOCSARGEN on the first dayabout the differences in acceptance of technology innovations of his generation and the youth today.
