The
council was established in 1995 as LEAGUE
OF CONCERNED COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS
(LCCSS) by the leadership of Mr. Joselito Avenido. There
are only eight positions, namely, (1) Chairman of the
Board, (2) President, (3) Vice-President, Blue Ribbon
Chairman, (4) Vice-President, Screening Chairman, (5)
Vice-President, Ways and Means Chairman, (6) Vice-President,
Finance Chairman, (7) Vice President, Class Representative,
and (8) Board Secretary. The first constitution was
done by this batch of officers in the same year. In
1997, its name was changed to Computer Science
Council where Ms. Honeylet was the chairman.
Positions were also changed into (1) President, (2)
Vice-President, (3) Secretary, (4) Tresurer, (5) Auditor,
(6) Business Manager and 3 (7)PROs.
Positions
and the number undergone a seesaw format, wherein positions
are added and removed, until year 2000. In 2001, the
name was changed to Computer Studies Student
Council. On year 2002, when Ms. Vanessa
Guico became the Program Director, the CSSC was provided
with the Multimedia Room (now Multimedia and Research
Center) as their office, and students center. In July
2002, CSSC started collecting membership fee from the
whole CCS studentry in order to fund programs and projects
for students. Only on March 24 to March 26, 2003 the
LCCSS constitution was ratified. Presided by Lionel
Gonzaga, that three-day affair resulted into better
by-laws and guide for the future officers of CSSC. The
new constitution declares new
and most comprehensive positions the council ever had.
The
longest term served by a president of the CSSC was two
years. Rainier Vergara(1998-2000) and Richelle Bolivar(2000-2002)
both have two service years for CSSC. Gonzaga is on
his way of matching the length of service of the two.
