  • Do bring :
A beach towel, a lightweight waterproof jacket with hood, white soled sand shoes, a small personal torch, snorkel gear, lightweight sleeping bag. Above all, practical gear.

  • Are you a diver?
Yes, you may bring your equipment.

  • Notes:
On yachts suitcases and high heels (funny that) are a no no,
bare foot and backpacks are normal, dont forget shampoo, that lathers in salt water; in general the cheapest detergent will do a good job. Soap bars don't work in salt water.
Bed linen, some snorkeling and fishing gear are on board.

  • Sea sickness:
Apart from spoiling your trip and making it harder for others on board,
seasickness can be dangerous, even fatal. Unless you know from
experience, that you will not be affected, you must have and be willing to use a reputable seasickness treatment. IF you suffer from motion sickness, it may be wise, NOT TO JOIN ANY YACHT.

  • Vaccinations / medication:
You are responsible for this: like tetanus, malaria tablets, anti sceptics, paracetamol, plasters etc.
(cuts heal very very slowly in the tropics) Check this with your medical practitioner.
PENDRAGON carries a very comprehensive medical chest, but you will be asked to replace what you use.
The skipper doubles as the doctor on board, he can 'cure' quite a few tropical ailments.
(brain and open-heart surgery, you ask ??..."well, he's still working on that". Heh heh )
Seriously,......If you need medication, bring sufficient for at least twice the time you plan to spend on board......
