Aerosmith Time-Line 2001 Aerosmith featured with a brand new song from the Charlie's Angels soundtrack with the song "Angel's Eye." Kicking 2001 by headlining at halftime at Superbowl XXXV, suporting artists were NSYNC, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige and Nelly. In March, Aerosmith released their new album Just Push Play following the single Jaded. The band also kicked off a U.S tour. Tyler and Perry produced this album themselves and also helped out with the mixing on the album. The Boston Bad Boys were finally officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Also Aerosmiths Greatest Hits (1980) was awarded the Diamond Award from the for selling more than 10 Million copies in the U.S. Aerosmith perform "Jaded" at the American Music Awards and won the International Artist Achievment award. Aerosmith also won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Rock Track, "Jaded". In October. Aerosmith perform with other artists at a concert in respect of the victims of 9/11 in Washington, D.C. 2002 As the Just Push Play tour drew to a close in Japan Tyler, Perry and Frederiksen headed away to Maui to begin the writing process on two soon to come songs "Girls of Summer" and "Lay it Down". Tyler later headed over to Miami beach for the shooting of the video to "Girls of Summer". Geffen also cashed in by releasing "Young Lust - The Aerosmith Anthology" And then June marked the release of "O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits" which included both "Lay it Down and "Girls of Summer". Special edition release with "Spiderman Theme" and "Come Together". In August it was time to set out on the Girls of Summer tour. Later this year Tyler was the coach in a celebrity Hockey game which was brought about for the families of the fallen firefighters. Tyler also won the Rock Style award at the VH1 fashion awards 2002.
