Ch.330 Summary
Shikamaru and the chunnins report Asuma's death to Tsunade. The sad news reaches the Leaf! Tsunade orders the three to inform everyone about Asuma's funeral. She mentioned she'll inform Kurenai herself. But Shikamaru objects her and tell her he'll do it. The scene changes.
Naruto is busy with his training. His rasengan has gained some spikes around it.
Just then Kotetsu arrives and tells Yamato everything. Yamato informs the sad news to Kakashi and Naruto. They both are shocked to hear this news. Elsewhere, Shikamaru informs Kurenai. She immediately breaks into tears.
At the funeral, everybody pay their last respects to the great jounnin. Everybody except Shikamaru. He is somewhere else, lying on the grass and looking at the clouds while smoking. He plays Shougi himself. He grabs hold of Asuma's knives and trains himself. Finally he wears his chunnin jacket, grabs his ninja tools and joins up with Ino and Chouji at the Konoha gate. They are ready to leave the Leaf and to find and kill the Akatsuki duo.
