Textbook Warm-up (10 min): Use page 251 to draw a map of Activity (12 min): Re-read pages 255-257 about the Khmer and
write a paragraph that tells the reader what happened (in your opinion) to the
Khmer people since the authors of the text don't say. (Assignment 23) Circle
the classroom and give participation points for those with their notebook
organized and with the essay written in their student handbook. Workshop time (25 min): Fill in the graphic organizer from the back
of the alien hypothesis. Find supporting evidence/arguments for your chosen
hypothesis. When you are finished, begin writing your essay or SSR. Teacher
circulates and helps students identify supporting evidence/arguments Closure (3 min): Remind students that essays are due tomorrow
and wish them luck. Offer to meet them at lunch or after school if they still
have questions. |
