I've been shut down so many times
Feelings hurt, esteem shattered
Mistakes I've made in the past
That I feel today still should matter
I feel I don't deserve happiness
I feel I don't deserve perfection
And that's exactly what you are
When I look into your eyes and see my reflection
I fail to see how I make you happy
But all that matters is that I do
Every night I question it
How someone like me, pleases someone like you
But every night I have to force it out my head
So I can fall asleep into a dream
Which involves no one else but you
Not being able to hold you, makes me want to scream
You are all that's left to motivate
My pathetic life, which only you can brighten
Next to you nothing could compare
Thoughts of living without you, makes me want to frighten
And because of that I would do anything for you
All I want to do right now
Is kiss you and hold you close
And when I do, thoughts in my head, wow.
