| Why study history?
The march of Providence is so slow and our desires so impatient; the work of progress is so immense and our means of aiding it so feeble; the life of humanity is so long, that of the individual so brief, that we often see only the ebb of the advancing wave and are thus discouraged. It is history that teaches us to hope. �General Robert E. Lee All of human history is ultimately about Jesus Christ. History is the story of the Cains and the Abels. The Abels are seeking to please, honor, obey, and glorify the trinitarian God of the Bible and the Cains are trying to kill the Abels. History is the story of God calling out a covenant people for Himself. When viewed in this context history makes more sense and is very exciting. History is the story of oppressive governments who over tax and control their citizens versus those who stand for liberty and freedom. In history the victors wtite the history books. The side that wins the war writes the textebooks from its own slant. When the Communist took over Russia they naturally controlled what was written in the history books to make themselves look like the good guys. Today in America, liberals control the textbooks. So they publish with their own anti-Christian slant. Because Christians send their kids to the government schools, Christians have been greatly misled about American history, particularly The War Between The States. This site is designed to help correct the misunderstanding. Why study history? Because one way or another, history is going to study you and me.
