Calatele Township has a population of 3100 inhabbitans, from which 12% are of Magyar, 3% of Romany and 85% of Romanian origin.
The holiday village will expand due to the demands. Those interested should contact the town hall for more details.
In a short time, there will be constructed two ski slopes in the northen area of the holiday village, one having a length of 550 meters, and another one, a bit lower, but more steep, designed for those more experienced. During winter, there will be organized trips with sledges and excursions to Vladeasa, peak Magura and Fantanele lake.
The holiday village is accessible entirely with any means of auto transport. Starting from 2005, the village is being modernized, more roads are being constructed inside the village; water and electricity access will be provided too.
