This website will concentrate on the creation-evolution controversy. Very different camps of belief exist as to the origin and the processes of life on earth. Sadly there isn't much civility among the two main camps, that of young earth creationists and the old earth creationists and all the various groups that believe something in between. I know that you can be a young earth creationist, an old earth creationist, a believer in evolution, an intelligent design believer, a theistic evolutionist, etc. and still be a Christian. A person can be a Christian regardless of our beliefs about the methods of our origins. Our separate beliefs in how God did all the work of creating should not be reason for division. Many evolutionists believe in God and are Christians as much as those who believe in a six day creation and a young earth. After all, who truly knows the mind of God? God say that His thoughts are not our thoughts and neither are our ways His ways. That scripture is truly something to ponder.

This web page is listed under the Christianity-Creation-Evolution category and so most of my articles and links will deal with this aspect of the issues that are presented to the American public every day. Other issues and subjects will pop up from time to time. From my own research I have come to believe that at the end of the six "day" creation, that the earth (planet earth) was just about the way that we see it today with a few minor changes over the millenia from earthquakes, global climate changes, local flooding , etc.
I beleive that the deposits of oil, coal, limestone, chalk, dolomite, sandstone and all other deposits were in place when Adam first appears in scripture. I believe that the formations, deposits and fossils are the frozen record of a long and continuous creation. The earth was complete in Adam's day and all of it's resources was planned for our use to develop civilization. The frozen record in the rocks reveal that long and important process that God used to create our world.
This site will cover what I have come to believe over the years concerning the creation-evolution issue with the hopes that some of the writings will help other in some small way or point them in a direction for more personal research. I have found out that when a lot of data is discovered I sometimes have to think outside of the box that I was living in. Hopefully we can all come to a better understanding on what the Bible says and what the Bible does not say. The Bible is God's word to us. The frozen record in the rocks is the evidence. The two must eventually match. And the research goes on.
On the left are links to some of my articles on these issues including a weekly commentary and a blog. Some of the articles are not finished and I am doing additional research on the subjects. I will be updating the site often.
The first five articles listed are about the Hebrew and Greek words in the Old Testament and New Testament that are translated "earth", "world", "nations" at various places in the bible. It is hard to determine in some places if this is talking about the whole (planet) earth, a portion of the earth, land areas, nations, etc as the same Hebrew and Greek words are translated into a number of English words. I think it is important to find out if the translation is correct for the particular scripture or if the translators are making the best guess possible. At some places it is believed that the translation to "earth" and "world" in English means the whole planet earth. It is important to know whether this is true or not as this would change the entire picture of some scriptures. I have listed all the scriptures for the five words of Hebrew and Greek and separated the scriptures according to what English words were used for the rendering. It will take much research to truly understand the meaning of certain particular verses because it would make a difference in the understanding of Genesis Chapter 1 through 10. I have included a sixth article about all the "worlds" there are such as the "world" of Christianity, the "world" of Islam, the "world" of insects, etc. The "world" of nations and humans are different today as compared to Old Testament times and is also different from New Testament times. The people of Old Testament did not know of the "earth" or "world" being a rotating huge planet, or the mechanics of orbital science, or the "other" continents that no one had traveled to yet. As the world was slowly "discovered" the meaning of the many "world" and "earth" scriptures takes on a new meaning according to how we understand the world today.
